220,000 and still going strong

I had to have a new car quick. Had never heard of it before. I love this car, bought it new and going on 15 yrs old. Weird things break, mostly plastic things. Only thing I've replaced is the ignition system and the gear shift handle 2x. The key snapped off in the truck and the horn died 4 yrs ago, but I can beat you from a dead stop to 60mph.? For a car I knew nothing about it sure turned out well. No rust, still looks good. Hoping it lasts another year.

Excellent value

Bought this in 2005 with about 7k miles on it as a rental car. Have the 6 cylinder--plenty of power when you need it. Very pleased with interior space, wish I didn't have a spoiler and wish the front end wasn't so low. Very minor glitches w age--still have it for commuting and only have 75k on the car. Will drive it til it drops!!

Best & most durable car I've ever owned

The Alero currently has 289,988 mi on it & is still going strong. Has had very lil need for shop work. Very good gas mileage. Comfortable, great leg room, large truck. Maneuvers excellently & has saved my neck a few times. Love this car!

Extremely dependable

I bought this car in February 2009 with 77k. I purchased it at a very affordable price of $6995. I owned this car until August 2014 when I decided to trade it in for a newer vehicle. I never had any major problems with this car. I only replaced the brakes once and had to have the fuel pump replaced once out of the 5.5 years that I owned. It was one of the most dependable cars I have ever owned. I wish they still made them. It was a great car. I would highly recommend it. Take care of it, and it will take care of you.

If you take care of it, it lasts forever.

This car got me through 10 years in my teens and twenties, the normal things that failed due to wear and tear had to be replaced, but as long as you take care of it, it will last.

My Alero is the best overall car I have owned.

My 04 Alero is comfortable, roomy, reliable, the V-6 has plenty of power, and the car is almost maintenance free. I get about 26mpg driving around and up to 35mpg in the highway. I now have 175,000 miles on it and its still running great. I have had no major problems with it. I would buy another new one tomorrow if I could.

Good car for the money

It is not expensive, and for what it costs, it delivers. You question "Would I recommend this car to a friend?" If he was poor and needed reliable transportation, yes. Otherwise, I would recommend he buy a new Lexus.
