A joy to drive every day for 5 years

I bought this car in 2014, drove it 35,000 miles in all New England seasons. With AWD and a spare set of winter wheels with Pirelli snows, I never had any trouble in ice and snow. it handles like an ideal machine in all conditions. My previous Miata, was RWD and didn't compete in handling and the passenger seat was uncomfortable. The 911 seats are superbly comfortable.

turbo model

The way the power comes on in this car is like nothing else I've driven or been in. Its like an immense wave building to the top of the red line, up shift and you stay in the wave. It gives you the sense that you have limitless power. The turbo motor is different than the non-turbo models, so there is no IMS to worry about. Mine has over 100k miles and has been very reliable. Maintenance is not cheap when something needs work, but it doesn't need work that often.

Amazing to drive can't help but to smile.

I love my car hate to sell, but it has a down side for me is six speed, diagnosed with lupus hard to drive on bad days.

Was guided by Porsche experts to this turbo

Sends a chill up my spine every time I start it. The sound of power fulfilled by handling to match. Always draws attention from those who see it.

Love this ride wanting to upgrade into a turbo

This car has been so much fun to drive for the past few years, just wanting to upgrade to a turbo and will need to sell.

The Best all around Porsche

What?s not to like about a 911.. The 911 is timeless and will always appeal to affectiano driver... There not super expensive used and pretty darn reliable .. It?s not a car that requires a ton of dinero to keep up .. I?ve had 4 thru my lifetime .. I?ve had a 308 GT, M6, SL500 and a host of others and always come back to a 911. It?s a week end take it never out of town car... back seats have seat belts ? Why? Are you gonna punish some one and make them sit in the back ? Make it a cargo area!!

Best sports car I've ever owned

I've had a BMW 850 (v12), Jaguar XK convertible (also v12), various high performance Lexus's, and find this Porsche to be outstanding, in terms of performance, cornering, leather smell, styling in general, and just for sheer looks.. I get compliments on it everywhere!! The next car I get with be a Porsche GT3.. I am sold on the Porsche brand..

Most fun car I have owned

Seats snug. Suspension stiff. Both expected of a true sports car. Love my sport seats and sport exhaust.

Awesome 911

Incredible car and incredible value. The 996 911 is every bit a 911 as the rest. Unrealized gem of a car that's starting to appreciate.
