Great car, really fun to drive.
This car was a reliable every day driver and a fast, fun car to drive. The Porsche 911 (996) was a great value for a car with a high level of performance.

Great car!!
I had always wanted a porsche...the 996 911's are a great value..as long as you know what to watch out for (IMS bearing, air oil separator being the biggest issues in these cars).

A great experience
I bought my 2003 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe with about 42,000 miles on it, and over the course of about 3 years, I put about 115,000 more miles on it. It was very dependable, always turned heads, and was of course tremendous fun to drive. You will spend money on tires and maintenance, but every day driving it will be an event. Just buy one.

2003 Porsche 911 Turbo
This was the best car I ever owned. I put about 100,000 miles on it before I let it go. I will definitely buy another 911 as soon as I can. The maintenance is costly, and the tires need replacement often, but it is well worth it.

Nearly bulletproof
Porsche is a brand that gives back the attention you give it. The 911 is iconic in any form (I seriously doubt any case could be made for street performance of a GT3) - most drivers will never get to the limits of the base 911 outside the track. The 996 right now is the best deal out there for the experience.

Pure iconic sports car that can fit three kids
I'm in love with my Porsche, it turns heads, sounds amazing, is as fast as I can handle and even smells good. I'm a father of three small kids and they fit fine and love for me to take them to school etc.

2003 C4S Insane Bargain for the Performance
I purchased a 2003 C4S knowing full well the issues related to the IMS bearing. I factored the L&N replacement bearing cost into my purchase price and driving worry free. Performance is excellent and the car makes you a better driver. Exterior styling on the C4S is exactly same as turbo, including the turbo suspension and brakes, just no turbos. Acceleration and handling is superb. Interior is purpose driven and classy. Only complaint was the sloppy stock shifter, which I replaced with the Porsche 997 short shifter and now it is perfect.

?? IMSB ??
"All recommended services are complete"??? What about the IMSB?? No description or account of a Porsche 911 made in this era can be taken as complete without a specific statement regarding the status of this specific car's Intermediate shaft bearing (IMSB). IMSB failure results in catastrophic engine disintegration for which the manufacturer, in its successful attempt to totally discredit itself, has refused to 'make good' on the design error. Used 911 buyers must: Know the car has not had IMSB damage to date; know the bearing has been replaced; have a warranty covering the IMSB "issue". Legit dealers will meet this requirement. AND STATE SO.
