Carrera 4 Hot Wheels
As a previous 911 owner (74 Targa) and regrettably selling in the late '90's, I looked for over six months at late model 911's available on the previous owned market. I came across a posting for a 2006 Carerra 4 with only 9300 miles. The test drive and PPI were without compromise. Since then, the vehicle has been a blast to drive, performs all tasks without hesitation, and I have never second guessed my decision to purchase this used vehicle. My only criticism is the harsh and noisy ride over concrete and rough asphalt. This may be partially due to the tires. If you are considering a used 911 purchase, do your homework on reliability issues, be prepared for high repair costs when they do come up (or purchase a service contract if you don't want to worry), and test drive several vehicles.

Great Car to HAve
I was looking at several cars, Gallardo , F430 or Porsche 911S. I did not want any TURBO since you cannot really drive them here in the USA because of the Speed Limit. I am very pleased with this purchase as the car offers a great handling and pleasure at the same time. The plus this car has over other sports car is that it is a 4 seater but pretty small for adults in the back. The power is great and brakes are precise. I love the BOSE sound systems in it as well the A/C works great w/o over heating the car and I live in Miami. I advise this car and will consider to buy another one in the future.

Quick and Sweet
I spent months researching this car and finally found it in Dallas. It was well worth the wait. It has all the appointments and power I wanted and then some. I had my son drive it (he is a Porsche racing instructor and flat KNOWS Porsche). He was very impressed after truly putting the car through its paces. I have never gotten my first one out of my system (in 1960) and now the whole Porsche experience is back in spades. Thank you Stuttgart.

Great weekend car, but not for commute. The best handling and responsive car I have ever owned, should have purchased it years ago.

World Class Car
I have had a Ferrari. But a Porsche is a Porsche. You can actually drive it every day. My Ferrari was not as reliable and was not an every day car. I am hooked. I will never drive anything else but a Porsche 911.

Over priced, dated technology, but I'll keep it.
Let's face it, a Porsche is a very fun and reliable car that is overpriced for what it is. The technology in a Porsche is very dated. The looks of a Porsche are great and the handling is super. So far the quality has been very good. In my opinion a $100,000 Porsche is a real nice $75,000 car. For example a Honda S2000 is a steal @ $35,000. The Nissan GTR at $75,000 is a match for the 997. That being said, I don't think buying a 2010/11 Porsche is worth the $50,000+ upgrade costs. I will keep my 2006 for a very long time.

Worth more than I paid
I bought this car new in 2006. It has this magic to it when I think it does, when I ask it gives. It is sublime to drive this car, my heart races every time I start it up. It feels as though it is tuned specifically for me and it takes the road like a tuna takes to the ocean. I have driven many cars but none are like the 911. This car is extremely reliable and fun. Keep the others I'm a Porsche fan for life, nothing else even compares for me now.

A special spot in my little stable
This is a fast, fun car to drive.. and you'll never have an inferiority complex when you pull up to the A&W. I have a big BMW and an even bigger Brooklands. And i reach for the 4S keys first.
