I think I will keep this car until I die.

Bought this 2014 Cayman S used (15,000 miles) 3 years ago. Other than a nail in a tire and 2 oil changes, it hasn't seen the inside of a shop. (now 35,000 miles) Bought it in Denver and drove it home to the Atlanta area and got 31 mpg. (23 mpg in city driving) Driving from Denver to Atlanta made me want to skip the hotels and sleep. The PDK has been flawless. If you feel like you must shift gears, use the paddle shifters. You can't possibly shift as well as the PDK. I haven't been to the track, but this car makes you want to. I feel it has a lot of potential that I haven't tested. I've had some back pain (and 2 back surgeries) while driving my wife's Acura, but none while driving this car. I have only 2 problems. It sits low, and the side bolsters on the seats makes it somewhat difficult to get into. The 2nd is the cost of routine maintenance. $260 for an oil change I am not looking forward to the next scheduled maintenance when they have to change the 2 air filters and the cabin air filter. I watched a YouTube video, and you have to take the engine compartment apart. One day I came out to the parking lot to find a handwritten note under the wiper. It said "beautiful car" with a smiley face.

Great car, fun to drive, trouble free

This is our third Cayman and the best yet. Fun for short drives into the Texas Hill Country as well as cross country trips as well. All the power and comfort you would want, and gobs of storage space with front and rear trunks. Only reasons I'm selling is an itch to get a 2019 718 Cayman. But hate to give it up.

Outstanding sports care

This car is an absolute joy to drive. The combination of handling, performance, and curb appeal is first rate. I smile every time I start it up and look forward to days when I know I'm going to take it for a drive.

The car is beautiful. Attention getter

14,200 miles like new. Fun to drive and definitely an attention getter. Constantly getting compliments when driving or getting gas. I only drive the car occasionally and looking at selling as my 3rd son is getting ready to go to college.

Most fun to drive car EVER!

The mid-engine design of this car places the weight of the engine in the perfect spot. Handling, cornering, and performance are the name of the game with the powerful Cayman S.

Best Car Ever

I can honestly say that without a doubt this is the best car I have ever owned or driven. It is just plain exceptional at everything. Performance and handling are incredible. I love this car soo much, it is probably the last car I will ever own. I can't think of a single automobile that I would trade Cayman S for.

The Best Car I have ever driven period.

Porsche has always been my dream car. I see it a reliable and practical daily sport luxury car, and some what exotic to me. And now I bought one, everything I was expected was met and more. It's a Porsche, enough said.

Life is too short to buy a boring car

Within the past six months I purchased a certified preowned Porsche Cayman 981, in Guards Red with black leather interior, and having owned seven other Porsches, I say without hesitation, that this is the best Porsche yet. I purchased it with a six speed manual and it is a blast to drive with plenty of power 0-60 @5.4 sec, even though it is not the S model. Fuel economy is amazing at over 30 miles to the gallon on the highway. Of course your mileage may vary :-). The interior is gorgeous, and just like the 911. Very luxurious. I did not get many options, just the convenience package, the infotainment package with GPS, upgraded stereo, red seat belts, very cool, Cayman S 19" alloy wheels, Heated and Cooling Seats. That kept the price reasonable. Of course since it was certified preowned, I did not have much choice on the option selection, but it seems just about right. I added the colored wheel caps and that really spiff it up a bit. The handling of this mid engine Porsche is like no other car. It handles like it is on the rails. The 981 is the third generation of Cayman, preceded by 987.1 and 987.2 and this is the last generation that still has the famous flat six Porsche engine. The newest generation, the 718 is a four-cylinder engine. The reliability of this Porsche has been great so far and I expect that to continue. You just have to make sure you follow all maintenance which is important. I highly recommend the Porsche Cayman 981.
