my 98 saturn
Hello you guys, I got this saturn about 8 years ago. I bought it from an old guy and it had 75000 on it. I've been driving it everyday to work and back. I've put 120000 on it and had never had a problem with the car. The only time i had to take it to the shop was when I got into a car accident. It's a good car with a great gas millage. I highly recommend this car if you don't want to spend too much on gas and repair.

Does what it was meant to do!
Purchased 5/01 with 19k on it. Since then other then maintaining the car the only unexpected repairs were a starter, a thermostat and a valve cover gasket. Not bad for a 13 yr. old car with 108k. It still gets 30 mpg and runs on regular fuel. Of course no rust or dings due to the unique polymer panels, just wash it occasionally and it looks great. Sure there are rattles from the interior plastic and the motor is a little rough at idle but once under way I wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere in it. We gave it to our daughter 8/08 to take to college and told her it had to last until graduation 5/12. It's been so good were planning to take it back at that time and use it for local runs. Trade in value would be a joke and we hope it never gets in an accident because it would be considered a total for anything but a minor fender bender.

Good car for the money!!
I bought my Saturn brand new back in May of 1998 and I am still driving it!! It's got just over 115,000 and all I have had are the typical wear and tear things that you get on any car over time. Still get oil change and maintenence on it when it's needed, and she runs just fine. The interior is worn, but that comes from the fact that the car was so inexpensive. I am just happy to have something that is so reliable.

Best Car
I've owned a 1998 Saturn SL2 since 2002. I bought it used with 28,000 miles on it. It was my best decision ever. I have not had a single problem that has been my fault. This car has paid for itself over and over. I've bought a Saturn Ion (2005) as a second car and love it. I had to get rid of it, but am now looking at a Vue. Saturn is the way to go!

Never had a problem
I bought this car new and owned it for 11 years and over 100K miles. I can't recall when I've had a problem. The car is a little rough in snow because it sits pretty low to the ground and can get stuck easily. The trunk and inside are spacious.

Pays Itself
I purchased this car in 2002 it was salvage title with 32,000 on it. Little bit noisy and too light on highway but it is a small car. I like this car because it is very reliable I have 97,000 on it, still running grate. Changed water pump, A/C compressor hose and front wheel bearing, that all it took. Great gas saving good for commute inside city, perfect for students cheep and reliable.

Great thus Far
I purchased my 1998 Saturn SL2 a few days back and the car has been great. Hundreds of features on it including power locks, a sun roof, cruise control, abs, leather seats, and a spoiler. The look is a bit outdated for the current date but the reliability it has executed thus far makes up for it. Not to mention the safety this car offers with 2 air bags on both front seats and a abs system! Great for a college student, I would reccomend this vehicle, my only gripe is its not as sporty as some of the other cars for the money. One of the few American cars I would purchase.
