Love love love!!

Granted I have only owned this car for about week, but even still I LOVE this SUV. It drives incredibly, is really decent on gas, and tons of ROOM. The perfect stylish mom/family car.

2019 Subaru Ascent Surprised Me

I did not go into buying a mid-sized SUV thinking I wanted to buy a Subaru, but due to Consumer Reports recent #1 ranking of the 2019 Ascent in the mid-sized SUV category I thought I should give it a chance. The first test drive I wasn’t sold. It wasn’t until my wife said she wanted to test drive it. It’s in that 2nd test drive where it really grew on me. It was a good decision to purchase it. The safety features are pretty impressive. The interior is very roomy. More roomy than the other mid-sized SUV’s I test drive. You would not be wasting your time checking the 2019 Ascent out and seeing for yourself how it compares to other cars in its class.

Great car, MPG is a little disappointing

Like the car a lot, lots of room. I don’t use the third row of seats. Like most Subaru’s it is great in the snow. Limited plus has a lot of great features, using more and more of them. Like Apple play more than I thought I would.

Awesome car

We just traded out 2018 Subaru Outback for this after the navigation system went black (Service bulletin was issued back in September and the part was on back ordered 6 - 8 weeks out). We decided to take a look at the Ascent and ended up trading up. I love that it has the 3rd row seat and I can now have all of my grandkids in the car. The turbocharger gives me the power that I love and I am excited about the 5000 lb towing capacity. I do miss the higher MPG that I got with the Outback as I am only averaging 19.6 MPG with the Ascent but I still love it and have no regrets buying the Ascent. We do a lot of driving - both city and long haul; the seats are comfortable and it has plenty of room for all of our hiking and camping gear. I would definately recommend the Ascent!

FINALLY...A full size Subaru!!

I am 6'4" tall and 250 lbs. I need a little room. I work in Norfolk, VA, so to commute, I need to be able to drive more aggressively than more rural areas and the turbo engine does not disappoint. The CVT that so many hate works great. I have not tried towing yet, but my hitch is going on in a few weeks (5000 lb towing capacity), 3rd row seats, lots of storage. This SUV drives like a large car, not a mid/full size SUV. I recommend going premium or higher.

Like the vehicle, but Subaru not customer friendly

I Like vehicle except for, the seats are too hard and uncomfortable on long trips. Concern: I blew the fuse on the cargo power outlet using a car vacuum. The manual does not identify the fuse for that outlet and most fuse descriptions are inadequate. I called the dealer to ask for the location of the fuse. I was told the car was to new for them to know the location of the fuse. It seems they couldn't be bothered finding out. This is not a good way to treat a new customer. I called Subaru Customer Service, I got a similar response. I was told that they did not want customers working on their own car. Is replacing a fuse considered working on a car?? PS... You have to practically stand on your head to get to the interior fuse box. The box is way under the dash requiring you to look upward to see the fuses. Poor design. By the way, we will be purchasing another new car in the next year or two. Subaru??

A new King in the world of 3 row cross over SUV

SUBARU has finally built a spacious 3 row SUV that is price competitive, fun to drive, reliable and offers a lot of standard features that you can only get as additional option on other brand. The fact that SUBARU with the exception of their BRZ(shared with Toyota/scion FRZ) is the only car company that offers standard AWD on all of their vehicle line-up. The interior combination is well above average. The eyesight technology feature is I believe the best in class technology in todays SUV/CUV market. The ride is definitely far better than some of the rivals I have test driven to include couple of Luxury brands. This is my first SUBARU vehicle and I now understand why SUBARU owners stay SUBARU for life. If there's one thing to improve in the Ascent is a better tuned or maybe a larger installed turbo that can produce 290 or more HP to stay in the very competitive SUV market. I'm sure their numbers will go up on the 2020 model.

They got it right this time.

This is my third Subaru after owning a couple of legacies years ago. Their earlier attempt at a 3-row SUV, the Tribeca was a miserable failure. After driving the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Chevy Traverse, we settled on the Subaru Ascent. Overall we are very happy with the choice. The car is very quiet and comfortable. The Eyesight safety features perform well in most conditions. Snow on the roadway and faded road stripes cause the system to momentarily turn off but they quickly reestablish themselves. Great vehicle!
