To soon to tell

Just picked it up yesterday. Too soon to tell, although the ride home was excellent. I look forward to driving long distances in this car.

To soon to tell

Car seems great so far. I purchased it today and drove it home. I liked the way it performed in the city and on highway.

Wonderful Car

Subaru Forester felt like a luxury, high-end car. Exceeded my expectations. The moon roof is the largest on the market - felt like a convertible. Strong towing car for camping.

Love my Subaru!

I love this car! We have a Forester and it is roomy, comfortable, and gets great gas mileage. My husband drives 30 miles each way to work, and we love the gas mileage we get on this car. We're sold and in love!

Extremely reliable, safe auto

This is a great car; peppy, safe, quiet, smooth, stylish. Sits high, cd player. All wheel drive aids in all winter driving conditions. Highly recommended.

Love my new used Forester limited!

This suv is great! We have had it a month now and everytime we druve it we find more gems. It drives tight and fast.....ride is fantastic for a suv. This is the best vehicle i have owned at the young age of 64. Not disappointed and no buyers remorse. But the price was awesome at Hgreg in orlando.

Overall: a joy to drive and own

This car is quiet, smooth, roomy and gets great gas mileage (32 overall mpg at 35k miles). Handles well in turns and has quite decent acceleration for the size of engine. The transmission took a little getting used to but is totally sound (it helps with the gas mileage). Feels (and smells) like new after 3 years use.

An extremely well built, safe and reliable vehicle

The interior room it provides makes it feel like a much larger vehicle. The performance and gas mileage are both excellent. The only drawbacks I feel are the road noise inside the vehicle seems loud, the air conditioner needs to be more powerful and the sound system needs to be better and lastly you can not get automatic door locks on the vehicle - meaning when you put the car in drive the doors do not automatically lock.

Somewhat Disappointed

Prior to purchasing my 2017 Forester, I had a 2000 Toyota RAV4. I loved that car! However, after being rear-ended on the freeway in June 2016, the RAV4 was deemed totaled and I had to look for another vehicle. The Forester had gotten high ratings for several years, and I wanted a vehicle with larger windows, similar to my RAV4. Most of the newer vehicles these days have a lot smaller windows, especially in the back, which create major blind spots. And, I believe in looking over my shoulders, not relying on the mirrors. After checking out Toyota, Honda and Subaru, I decided on the Forester. The 2017 Forester has a lot of pluses. Even my basic model is considered "luxury" by me, because its basic features are a lot more than I had before. The vehicle rides nice. There is a lot less outside road noise than my previous car. It's pretty roomy and comfortable (which is a plus for my parents on family outings!). I love the hidden storage compartment under the trunk area! My problem and major complaint is the creaking noise I have experienced with the driver's side seat belt connector and the dash board rattle. The seat belt connector problem started after only 7 months of owning the vehicle. The dealer had attempted to make repairs to no avail. Two and a half years later, I am still dealing with the problem! The next problem is the dashboard rattle, which started 2 years into my ownership, not long after an air conditioner repair. The rattle started in the right front corner at the windshield, but then traveled to the center at the windshield. My car is too new to have these noises! We paid a lot of money for this vehicle. I would not expect to have creaks and rattles happening so soon. And, if this is happening now, how bad will the noises be in 5 - 10 years?! I am not a person to file complaints against dealers / repair shops. Most of the time I let things slide. But, I am getting frustrated with all the time I have spent running back and forth numerous times to get these issues taken care of. To be fair, the dealer is trying its best to help. The dashboard was recently removed in order to repair the dashboard noise (thanks in part to a service bulletin). Unfortunately, a day later, it was still rattling on the way home. And, the seatbelt connector has been oiled, cleaned, the washer was replaced and everything in between. The noise persists, but for some reason the current technicians can't hear it. I am extremely frustrated. And, service departments know the tricks to word invoices in their favor to avoid the "Lemon Law". But, I will forge on with the hope that these noises will be corrected, so that I can enjoy this car. Because right now, I wish I had stuck with Toyota.

Disappointing effort from Subaru.

Interior engineering is lousy. Climate control is ridiculously complex and not intuitive. Audio is also way too complicated. Car has rattles with less than 10,000 miles. Exterior paint failing already.
