I used to own a Subaru Impreza way back (close to 20 years ago). It was one of the best cars I've ever had. I recently test drove a 2016 Impreza hatchback and my world was shattered. I was so hopeful to be behind the wheel of another Subaru that I almost talked myself into it. The car handled terribly, it sat too low, and the interior was generic. I'm truly heartbroken that every car recently made has no sense of identity anymore. Maybe I'll own another Subaru in the future, but while All Wheel Drive is great in Wisconsin, so is comfort.

Amazing in the canadian winters. Fun to drive fast around corners because it handles so well. 5 speed manual is what I own & the driving is smooth. Driven this over 1000kms one way with no issues & only two gas station stops.

I love our Impreza but I wonder if anyone has ever achieved the 38 mpg as stated. I have only once in 2 years achieved 32 mpg & that's driving like a granny.

This car is such a nice ride! I feel completely comfortable while driving, even in bad weather. Gas millage is great and it has convienent features I didn't realize I'd love. The lane departure warning and the cruise control is amazing.
