2017 Subaru Legacy consumer reviews

I love this car! If it wasn’t for changing priorities for my family, I would never sell it. Fun to drive, looks great, never had an issue with it. Comfortable in very long drives, handles like a champ. Safety features are amazing with Subaru EyeSight, blind spot detection, automatic cruise control adjustment when following cars, lane adjustment and alerts, and more!

Car meets my needs. Safety and reliability was my main concern. Car is great in driving in snow. Have had Subaru’s in the past and very pleased with their performance.

This car has been amazing! Drives nice, great gas mileage, plenty of leg room for tall people in back, and bought at a great price. This car has met my needs and expectations.

This car is fantastic. I love all Subaru's because they drive so nice. I originally had the Outback prior and the interior stays the same between most of the models in 2017 from what I've seen (which I really like). I missed driving a sedan though and the fuel economy seems improved on the Legacy. Maneuverability feels much greater in the Legacy and I love the way it handles and its responsiveness

The car is sturdy and comfortable. It has all the technology/buttons that provide comfort, strong foam seats, great visibility and it has good fuel economy

This review is for a 2.5i Limited. I needed to buy a car as my previous vehicle had been totaled and my rental car was going away. I ended up buying this car because I couldn't find a luxury sedan that checked all the boxes and I really liked. As it turned out, it's been a very good purchase for me. I wanted a car that had AWD AND got good gas mileage. That's a combo that doesn't usually go together. My legacy gets 30-31 MPG with my mix of about 60% freeway, 40% city. That's pretty darn good. Plus, it's got plenty of passenger room (room for 5 adults easily) and plenty of trunk space. The interior is pleasant and the seats are comfortable enough. It's never given me any mechanical issues, and I'm north of 45k now. The ONLY big issue I had with it, is one of the keyfobs was eating batteries like crazy. Took it in and they supplied me with a new keyfob, under warranty. I only have a few complaints. First, it's an affordable car and there are some cheap bits used in the interior. This is a nit really, because I thought they did a pretty good job making it look better than the cheap bits would otherwise indicate. Second, It's got the eyesight system and, in certain conditions, you will lose that system. One scenario is if you're driving directly into a setting sun, the cameras can't deal with it and you will lose the eyesight system. That means you lose things like the adaptive cruise control. Eventually, when the front of the car changes angles to the sun, the system comes back. Finally, the engine with the CVT transmission is a little boring to drive. This is not a car enthusiasts car. It's for people who crave practicality. It's not that the engine is a dog, it's got enough power to get it around during the daily grind of going from point A to point B, it's just not an exhilarating drive there. All in all, I think this car is a superb daily driver for someone who wants good fuel economy, excellent interior and cargo space, and lives in snowy places where AWD comes in handy.

It is an excellent used car. Great interior room for this size of vehicle. Good creature comforts ie heated seats,dimming mirrors, side mirror lights,and nice quiet ride.

The car is reliable and is a nice ride. Not going to win any races but handling is phenomenal with the AWD. It's a great every day car with great MPG and comfortable to drive.

Subaru legacy has it quite a large interior and trunk. Perfect for long trips and and safe for the dynamic driving on city streets thanks to the EyeSight safety futures.

Love my Legacy. Looks good, fun to drive, feels good on the road, no negative comments. Most reliable car I have ever owned. Next new car I buy could very well be another all wheel drive Subaru...but I hope to have this one for many more years.
