Really fell in love with it. Meets all my needs!

Overall a very good purchase. A few minor glitches, like windows that lost 'home' position, and tailgate opener motor that needed replacing. Major fix was new transmission (no cost to me) at 80K. Love the ride and handling, especially in snow. Can't beat the full time 4 wheel drive.

Our favorite vehicle ever!

We?ve owned everything from Cadillacs to Infinitis to Jeeps, but our Outback is our favorite vehicle ever. Our dog Zoey picked it from a line of Outbacks displayed with the hatches up. She looked them all over, jumped up into the forest green one and we?ve loved it ever since. Dog tested, dog approved. Yes!!!

98% of all Subaru?s still on road after 10 years

My Dadilac! Was in a Nissan Armada V8 traded to a 2.5 limited. Big drop in engine size for me but very responsive, great comfort and handling, amazing on gas and safe. Plenty of cargo space. Reliable and well built. I?m a hug Subaru fan join the cult. You won?t be didsaoointed!

SO MANY PROBLEMS

This car is perfect in a few ways - safe, comfortable, roomy, great sound system. But, I have had so many problems with this car. 1/ It burns oil. I have to carry oil with me at all time and add 1-2 quarts between oil changes. 2/ Battery problems. If you don't drive the car every day, it barely starts and sometimes needs a jump. Yes, I bought an expensive, new battery at 40k mi to try to solve the problem but it persists. Leave the radio on for ten minutes and the car won't start. I need to carry a battery charger, cables AND the extra oil with me at all times and the car doesn't even have 50k mi on it. 3/ Recalls, recalls, recalls. I have had the car in the shop for three recalls so far. (But none to fix the excessive oil burn or the weak electric.) I thought Subarus were supposed to be reliable. I won't buy again.

Most functional and reliable car I have owned

This vehicle has the most room and functionality (roof rail system) than any other vehicle on the road. The Symmetrical All Wheel Drive system is superior to German cars twice the price.
