Best car in class
After graduating college I was in the need of a vehicle that could get me to and from work, handle the snowy winters, and provide a little fun along the way while not breaking the bank. The 2015 WRX was a great solution to this problem. With ample storage for all sorts of gear, four wheel drive, a peppy engine, and great handling this car could not have been any better.

First sports car
First sports car, second Subaru. First was an 05 Impreza 2.5rs pro. Huge step up to this car. Worlds difference in every aspect for the better. The handling, the power, the efficiency. It's just a great all around vehicle. Living in the northeast I get tons of snow and this car has handled it all perfectly. 16inches of snow? No problem with the Michelin xice xi3 I put on. Overall I'm getting about 24 mpg with 95% of those miles being in the city. Pretty amazing and nice since premium gas isn't cheap. Being a rally bred sedan the suspension can be very firm and harsh on awful roads. But only on the worst of roads is it an issue. Besides that it is very comfortable(I prefer a more stiff vehicle) the 6 speed is awesome once it's broken in. Clutch is easy to maneuver. Steering feel is pretty good, would like a little more feedback but that's just nit picking. Gone on 2 longer trips (430 miles total) and saw around 33mpg through stop and go ny traffic. Power comes on quick and strong, the turbo whistle is quite pronounced when surroundings are quiet. Awesome noise. The awd saved my butt 1-2 times from slipping on ice. Living on a narrow side street with neighbors who park at the tip make it hard to go into the street when snowy/icey and the traction control saved me thankfully! Whether boosting or not the car still has plenty of go in it. I never feel like I need to be pushing any boost to get going or keep up. Stereo is alright. Not why I purchased the car so not enthralled nor disappointed. Bluetooth calling can be a pain trying to use the voice menus to call. Not a problem for me I just enjoy driving the car. Heated seats are a blessing in the winter as is heated windshield wipers. Road noise and wind noise really aren't as bad as others think. Power, efficiency, all weather capabilities and more than enough room for 5 average sized adults. What more do you need? Even fits car seats well! The latch system is easy and a nice addition.

Average Reliability
The Limited in stunning World Rally Blue is a work of art. A true drivers car. I am 6'2 275 lbs and plenty of room for me front and back. Excellent seats and position of controls. Superb build quality and extensive use of lightweight body panels. Engine sound and performance is designed for those who are truly drivers. Clutch feel is progressive and light enough for all day city driving. Turn in and braking is spot on. Dunlop performance rubber is a good choice. No needs for any after market upgrades. Many comments about Clarion radio..Simple reset of some settings solve this.Check on line for tweaks. Road noise is evident on anything less than smooth asphalt. Could be the tires.

So far, so good
So far, so good. It's only been two weeks, so I don't have much to go on, but I like it. It's comfortable, decent on gas, as long as you don't nail it, and fun to drive. Subaru's are supposed to be reliable, so we shall see. . .

Its good at everything
It can haul gear for camping trips on the weekends, carve up some mountain roads, and pilot snowy roads with ease, some cars do some of those better, but none can do all of them as good as the new WRX.

Sports car.
Performance oriented car with very hard suspension. Fun on short rides but pain on long rides because of the hard set up of the suspension. If you drive a lot rent the car before you buy to see if you want to keep car for long commute.

To WRX or not to WRX
Finding a sub $30k car that runs and handles like cars costing 2x as much is no easy feat. Before 2015, the WRX was the redheaded step child to the more costly STI. However, when they added a 6 Spd. Transmission and interior upgrades it was able to hold its own while coming in $15k cheaper. Very easy to drive and even easier on the wallet to maintain, the Wrx is a bargain. Fun factor is high rowing through the gears. 21+ mpg and great acceleration and braking completes the package. Comfortable seats, nice electronics and a quiet interior are bonuses. The draw is its nimbleness and sporty acceleration. Champagne taste on a beer budget, sports car speaking. 4 doors and 5 seats? Looking for a fun, quick, sporty commuter/toy? Then the WRX maybe for you.
