Perfect for me, preformance driven and it shows.

by Harrison from Sacramento on Wed Oct 23 2019

This car is an AWD missile with great in car and underhood features, I love it but heads up this is no grandma Cadillac, to my liking you can feel and hear the road which is great if you want a solid performance ride but not so comfy for grandma on your way to church.

First new car. Very Pleased

by MattD from Milwaukee on Mon Jun 22 2020

I found this car because I wanted a fun four dour car that I could drive in any season. After doing the research and driving this vehicle, I don't believe there's any car that would have been more suited for my needs.

Great daily driver with good power

by FriedFetaNinja from Brick, NJ on Mon Nov 04 2019

This car is amazing overall, WRX STi Limited. Firstly it only comes in a manual (sporty cars with no manual should not be called sports cars) Secondly, starting with 2019 the STi comes with apple/android auto (must have if you use your cellphone for navigation, music, etc) Its got a sporty feel in the inside but with a decent amount of comfort, as the Limited comes with Recaro sport seats with a leather/suede fabric on all seats (front and back) It comes standard with a good size turbo but it is a 4 cylinder engine, so you get a decent amount of power without having to cut a leg every time you fill up on gas (unless you constantly step on the gas and drive like a racer) Has blind spot monitoring and signals visually and w/ audio (if you dont disable it) when you try to switch lanes and there is a car on the way. Cruise control, star link (subarus on-star system), heated seats... This car has literally everything i want and need in a car. I love driving this car to work and back, but also love driving it around leisurely.

Ridiculously Fast

by Richard from Glenwood on Sun Nov 24 2019

The car is very sexy. It growls lowly without being obnoxious. It is quick in Intelligent mode, but fast and very fast when you start the turbos in Sport or Super Sport.

Our Take on the 2020 Subaru WRX STI

The verdict:

The Subaru WRX STI’s rally pedigree still shines through, but the car’s performance chops don’t overcome the car’s roughness.

Versus the competition:

The freshened 2018 WRX STI needs a more comprehensive update and a better interior to catch up with other compact performance cars.

For fans of performance cars, the last couple of years have been a breath of fresh air. Sure, we lost the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution to the scrap heap of history, but we gained the Ford Focus RS in 2016, and the Honda Civic Type R finally made its U.S. debut as a 2018 model. Those two, along with the Volkswagen Golf R, are a strong set of competitors (compare them here) that really give the WRX STI a run for its money.

The Focus RS is the most performance-driven, the Type R is incredibly fun and agile, and the Golf R combines interior quality with everyday livability and good performance credentials of its own. So where does that leave the 2018 STI?
