I Like This Car!

So far 29mpg with only 500 miles! I have the auto trans with all the gadgets. My only drawbacks are the small fuel tank and the lack of an arm rest. Very smooth ride, I am really surprised at what you get for your dollar . Good job Suzuki!

Big Car in Little Car's Body

I've driven my '07 SX4 for a year now, and I love it. It's got a lot of punch at a really good price. I get compliments all the time from people in cars that cost a lot more than mine did.

Small, but versatile

I've been driving large cars for the last four years. My Chrysler New Yorker was becoming a real pain in tail, so I traded for the SX4 knowing absolutely nothing about it. It came down to price and style. I didn't want a small, tin cannish sedan. Okay, so the SX4 is still small, and a bit tin canny, but not like the small sedans I tested. It feels roomier in the driver's seat and sits a tiny bit higher than some. It felt like a good fit. I'm a little disappointed in a few things. First of all, the interior seat fabric is very cheap looking. Also, there's no console or arm rest of any kind between the two front seats. The seat is ample enough that I don't feel like my arm is dangling, but a little console for some storage would have been nice. The first time I folded the seats down, I struggled a bit and I'm no weakling. I wish there was some door bumper trim to prevent idiots from banging their doors into mine. It's just a matter of time before it happens. A couple of dollars would have gone a long way, here. I am also disappointed in a four cylinder car not getting better mileage, too. It's okay, but not really what one would hope for at the current gas prices. I think it's an attractive enough car. It's comfy and it maneuvers well. I've only got 1500 miles on mine, though and already brakes are squealing and sometimes it acts like it doesn't want to start. This is bothersom and it WILL be going to the dealer soon. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it. It wasn't what I started out shopping for, but I wasn't unhappy when it was what I bought. I really need years of service and dependability and I hope that's what I get.

15k in and still in love

Overall : This car is awesome. Comfort : Comfy seats, but I'm a little sloppy with the manual transmission sometimes so my girlfriend complains. Performance : Sufficient, but you're not going to win any drag races. Also, a 6th gear on the highway would be great. Exterior Styling : Looks great. No contest. Interior Design : Very stylish, but some of the plastic parts scratch too easily. Value for the Money : I'm averaging 26.3 MPG in metro Atlanta, which isn't shabby. No repair costs yet, although it's about time to replace the brake pads. Reliability : Great at 15k, ask me again at 100k.

Very nice for the money

I bought my 2007 Suzuki SX4 in late 2006. It has been an overall good dependable car. I really like the AWD and for the price... you can't beat it. The gas mileage is good. The only thing I'd like to see is a little bit bigger engine available than the ones offered. That being said, I enjoy owning this car as opposed to having a gas hog that I traded in for the Suzuki.

i didn't expect to fall in love

I bought this car with my head: value, price, AWD, safety features and cargo space. What I didn't expect was that it would capture my heart. I bought a 2007 Rally model with 12,000 miles on it. I haven't been able to drive a manual transmission for years due to an arthritic left knee. However, with the slightly elevated seating and the accompanying lumbar support, I've rediscovered the joys of shifting. This car cost me a minimum of $3500 less than the Impreza and Mazda3 I was eyeing, and I've never looked back. The car handles great and I get loads of compliments from passengers and passersby. Only improvement would be to add a sixth gear.

Better gas mileage than advertised

I don't have much time but I did want to say a few things; My last car was a Grand Vitara. I traded it in (for an SX4) with 150,000 miles on it and never had any problems. I just wanted to say that I now have 2000+/- miles on my SX4 and I am getting 32 MPG with a 80/20 hwy/city split. It keeps getting better too.

The all around Car

This car has it going on. It is capable of AWD, Low speed 4X4 and hugs the road better than some sport cars I have driven. Good head room and comfort. I drive 500 miles to work in all weather conditions. I am very pleased at this time I have 4,400 miles on it and for the value is a sound and worthy car.

Loved from the moment I drove it!

Bought it in November 2006. I went through the winter with it. Love being able to have 4 wheel drive in a smaller vehicle. I agree that the backseat area is quite cramped, but its' rare I have anyone back there. Plenty of room for groceries.I've gotten many coments on it when people see it. Some even think it's a new Mini Cooper. I missed not having a sunroof, so had one installed. Now it's perfect! And would I recommend it to a friend? I did & she's in the process of buying one. Very satisfied! I enjoy driving again.
