If you Take Care of it, It will love you forever

I love the reliability of this car. The things that tend to go wrong with it are the same on all of them, so you can easily anticipate costs down the road. It's not the sexiest on the outside or interior, but it's comfortable and sturdy.

Best Used Car Ever

This is my daily driver to work and family trips. Spacious, Quiet, Reliable, and good MPG for a V6 engine. Excellent for long trips and plenty of leg room for rear passengers. very affordable maintenance costs as well. Excellent car! I wish they would use this car as an example to draw from on newer models today.

Refuses to Die

old style, not pretty, but gets you from point A to point B. The problem I have with it now at almost 200,000 miles is its inability to pass smog. It's still drives though.

The best comfort and value

The 1997 Toyota Avalon has been the best used car I have ever bought, that even includes my trusty 1995 Buick La sabre. It is no wonder Motor Week once called the Avalon the Japanese Buick. As this car has great features like standard A/C, ABS and power windows. It is a full sized car and really feels safe going down the road. That still gets 28 MPG Highway is impressive. It is no secret anymore that Toyota is actually known for being one of the most dependable car companies around and it really shows with the Avalon. The 1997 Avalon would make for a great first car that is solidly built to consider buying.

surprisingly durable

I bought my Avalon early 1997; put over 130k miles already; no breakdowns with usual maintenance. Only problems is foam cracking and falling into air ducts from being so old! Runs like new with platinum plugs ; gets 25 mpg with hard acceleration in town. The metal parts outlast all the plastic parts. It saves me lots of money in the long run .

Great Cars

Bought this car used with 87K miles on it. I regularyly maintained it. And it never let me down. after 350 K miles, it ran as good when i gave it to my sister as when I bought it. Averaged around 25 miles to the gallon, a little better on long highway trips.

Excellent car

170,000 miles and still in great condition inside and out. Still has smooth, quiet ride and is the most comfortable car I've ever owned. Serviced every 3,000 miles. No problems at all. My next car will be an Avalon but doesn't look like it will be any time soon!
