Headquartered in Toyota city, Aichi, Japan, Toyota has an extensive vehicle lineup starting with the compact Corolla, which comes as a sedan or four-door hatchback. A hybrid pioneer, it sells the Prius and offers available hybrid power for many models, including the hybrid-only Camry mid-size sedan, SUV-like Crown sedan and Sienna minivan. For enthusiasts, there's the GR Corolla hatchback and sports cars developed in partnerships: the GR86 with Subaru and GR Supra with BMW.

SUVs include the subcompact Corolla Cross, compact RAV4, hybrid-only Crown Signia, and three-row Highlander and Grand Highlander. Truck-based SUVs include the 4Runner, Land Cruiser and Sequoia. Toyota also sells the mid-size Tacoma and full-size Tundra pickup trucks.

For hybrid shoppers who desire more electric range, there are plug-in Prime versions of the Prius and RAV4. Though it's been tentative in entering the all-electric market, Toyota introduced the bZ4X compact SUV for 2023 and is working on other EVs.
