Lexus luxury in an Avalon model
I love this car because it is roomy inside (my 6'4" son has ample leg room in front and back seats), with reclining rear seats. I own the Limited so the heated seats, USB ports in front and back seats, leather, sun-roof, both front seats have the lumbar support option, and the AC is a deep freezer (my personal requirement). Because of everything above, this is best car I have ever driven cross country: from Maryland to Seattle, WA. Hope to keep it another 10-years!

Customer Review
2011 Toyota Avalon is a true flagship for the Toyota brand. The vehicle is very comfortable and style of the vehicle catches the attention of onlookers. Of course you can't deny Toyota's dependability, which is second to none. I am proud to own such an amazing vehicle.

Love my Avalon-great car
This is my first Avalon, in fact my first Toyota ever. I use this as my commuter car. It's so beautiful, love my color combination of grey/ivory. I got the limited. Love the design of the dash. I love the quiet and smooth drive. It's so easy to drive and has plenty of power. I wil be keeping this car for a long time to come! So far I have gotten 24 mpg. For my commute that's good.

Avalon is Great
One of the finest cars I have owned. Many parallels to my Lexus 430. Zero maintenance issues. On a recent cross county trip of 3000 miles I averaged 26.9 MPG at an average of 71 MPH. All friends prefer to ride in my car whenever going anyplace. Interior finish, noise level is outstanding. Especially impressive is the Brakes and Handling. I avoided an accident when a party ran a red light due to the great brakes.

Love this car!
I bought the 2011 Avalon. I guess some people think the Avalon is boring, but not me. I bought the limited version and love everything about it except the cup holder area. Not sure why the separation area wouldn't be better . Functions are easy to use. Storage space is ok, but could be better. Overall, great car!

Most comfortable riding car.
The interior is spacious and comfortable. It rides softly, silently, smoothly, and comfortably. It has great vision from the inside in most all directions. The trunk opening, however, is too small to be able to insert items of much size. The road noise is minimal. The controls are well placed on the steering wheel and on the dashboard. I enjoy the blue-tooth feature for the Mobil phone.

Super Duper Uber Great Car
I've bought a used 2011 Avalon limited and this is one of the nicest cars I've had. I notice alot of people don't give the exterior full stars but I think the car is beautiful. Not to flashy but still cool enough to have people looking at your car like "thats a nice car" in 2016/17. Very smooth ride like a old school Deville or buick. Like riding on a comfy sofa down the street. Only thing is cornering. Its not a BMW so corners are a little sketchy but as long as your going the speed limit you are good. Interior is up there with the best of them and the sound system is ridiculous in a good way. Whats even more empressive is when I got out the car and closed the door you could barely hear the music on the inside of the car. And I had it up pretty loud for scientific reasons. The front led lights with the fog lights make you look like a jet fighter coming down the street at night. I could go on and on about this car. I get excited everytime I'm about to drive it. Isn't that what it's all about?! The Avalon is not for just the older crowd I'm 33 and love this car. Maybe I'm older on the inside but who cares! All and all excellent car! I recommend it to any age group. It'll make you feel special.

Emphasis on Electronics at the Cost of the Basics
This is my second used Avalon. Previously owned a 2002. Has some wonderful convenience and comfort refinements (love the heated seats) but abandoned or downgraded some of the quality features of the 2002. What happened to the dual sun visors? These were a real safety feature when driving morning and evening into a rising or setting sun at latitudes where the sun stays below 30degrees above the horizon for months at a time. Speaking of northern latitudes, what happened to displaying the exterior temperature full time in the clock display? Both driver and passenger need to know when the weather is changing and below freezing for slippery driving conditions. Both my 2002 Avalon and 2003 Camry had this feature. On the 2011, only the driver can choose to see the temperature and then only at the cost of not seeing other driving info. Why such cheap, brittle plastic on the eyeglass holder cubby and the console lids? The cubby closure mechanism jams on glasses frames. 2002 model did not. Difficult to know where overhead lights turn on in front because of dark coloured housing. Trunk lid opening smaller than Camry. Difficult to see dashboard switches (too much black on black) It would be better if the Avalon were available with a Northern Latitudes package. This should have dual sun visors, an alternative to touch-screen controls which don't work when wearing gloves, a heated steering wheel, larger or more raised steering wheel control buttons ( test them when wearing gloves), and an improved design for the back-up camera. The lens gets covered in dirt, snow and salt every time it is driven in winter. With a seasonal change to snow tires the trunk interior could be better. Keep the rear speaker better protected and less intrusive. Recess the cargo net hooks so that they don't get broken by objects sliding or jammed into the trunk. The rear seat belts have a recess, why not the cargo net hooks? The area below the grille extends too low at the front and is prone to damage by parking lot furnishings and snow accumulations. A very pleasant car to drive with lots of leg room for long trips and easy access. Excellent heater/defroster. Expensive wiper blade replacement. No inserts available so $72 for two new arms. According to the owner's manual there are many electronic features built in to the information/entertainment system. However, almost all divert the driver's attention away from the road, visually, mentally or both. A well made reliable car that could benefit from refinement and testing in northern conditions.

The Best
I am in my mid 50's and have owned several cars in the last 40 years of my driving. This car is by far the nicest all round vehicle I have owned. No disappointments and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Plenty of leg room. Super comfortable. Good gas mileage and gets up and goes when needed.
