Buy this car.
I'm not going to go into great detail, this car is on par with sedans twice it's price. The Lexus that compares to this car is in the 70,000 range. If you want a luxury car thats responds like a Mustang 5.0 this is your car. The interior package cant be beat for the price. No kidding, you must at least test drive one of these before wasting your money on anything else.

Owned a 2006 Avalon Limited and loved the soft luxury ride and the interior room. Unfortunately before buying my 2013 Avalon Limited I failed do my homework by test driving this vehicle. Had I done so I would not be writing this review. My 2013 Avalon Limited is probably the worst riding vehicle I have ever owned. Interior road noise over all except the smoothest road surfaces is terrible. Suspension is like riding in a truck. Toyota totally screwed up the suspension by making it stiff as a NASCAR race car! After owning it for 7 month now I am looking for a car with a smooth ride to replace it.

Great Car and a Great Buy
Worked with Lexus of Edison (Penske Group). Easy to deal and negotiate with. They had a 2013 Toyota Avalon with 20,000+ miles. The car was everything that was promised. The Avalon is one of the most under-appreciated luxury cars in the market .

Not shocked or surprised
I bought this car as liked the new looks and drives perfect for a Toyota i ended up traded for a more car as the Acura TL got more what paid for under $40,000 it's a more greater ride as to the Avalon was a nice car but just couldn't take the harsh ride of it something was just not right about how the suspension was not good. The interior was best and was a beautiful car but right after few payments made went for a Acura.... The resale value is excellent for another flagship sedan as the TL i owned few Avalon's in the past but this one took the cake with a bad ride i mean drove a old rusted Chevy truck it wasn't this harsh this car was supposed to be new out of the manufacturer with better reliability and more performance i will recommend it because of the luxurious has and more outstanding but couldn't take no more of the ride felted liked i was driving on a hard rock.

Interior Design Flaws Plague the 2013 Avalon
I purchased a new 2013 Toyota Avalon XLE Touring in May, 2013. I liked the ride, legroom and the features. However, the first thing I noticed after driving off the lot was the extremely poor sound quality of the audio system. I never felt the need to upgrade a car stereo due to poor sound quality in the 10 other cars I've owned, but it cost me $1,800 to have this one upgraded. (It came with Navigation, and I was told that I would loose that and other features like the steering wheel controls if I simply replaced the stereo.) Next, after two months, the headliner developed a crease, and started to peel away from the roof of the car. It had to be replaced by the dealer, which took more than a week for them to fix. After that, the leather came "untucked" from the bottom of both front seats. Finally, the hard plastic shell on the back of the driver's seat came undone. I've owned this car for 5 months, and I've had to bring it back to the dealer 5 times to have problems with the interior fixed, not to mention the 4 times it was in the car audio shop for the audio system upgrade. The car has a nice ride and nice features, but I would not recommend this car in good conscience. Please note that it is not just my car alone. I've read online that other people have been having these sames issues with the 2013 Avalon. After owning this car for only 5 months, I am already looking for a new car. Bottom line: Design flaws in the car's interior ruin what could have been a great car.

Worst experience not reliable
I have only owned the brand new 2013 Avalon for less than one month. Yesterday went to drive it and it would not start had to call roadside assistance to come to my home. They jump started it and charged the battery. As soon as I tried to start it it would not start. Had to have it towed in to service. Was told today by service department they replaced the battery because it had a bad cell. We will see if I have anymore trouble with getting this new car to start. Also found out this is a common problem with 2013 Avalone. This may be my first and last time with a Toyota. Very unhappy to have a new car I don't feel I can rely on.

Great car, but.....
This is a little hard to write as I love my new 2013 Avalon Limited. The new radar cruise control and blind spot sensors are fantastic! However, I was not totally paying attention when we bought it. We have had a 2006 and a 2011, both of which were great. I knew it was going to be a little shorter than the 2011 and they took away 1.5 gallons on the new gas tank. The biggest issue and I just did not pay attention when buying it (my bad). The bad: The loss of storage features, no room for a tissue box up front, no storage in the arm rest in the back. The holder in the trunk that would hold two gallon jugs of milk when shopping. Also, he smart key system will only work on the front doors, not the rear as in the 2011. Means you have to lock and unlock from the front then deal with the rear. Really awkward when dealing with grandkids. If I had it to do over I would probably have kept the 2011 another year to see how the 2014 comes out and possibly shop around more. Again, if it were not for the 2011 I had I would probably have nothing but praise for it. I also agree with another owners review I saw, it is a little rougher riding in town, but on our recent 3700 mile road trip it was great.

Comfort, design and technology at it's finest
The cars outside design is outstanding...it's obvious that Toyota makes the Lexus because it can be easily mistaken as one. Friends and neighbors all commented on the looks and the color. Moulin Rouge red is a subtle high end color, not flashy. After owning an Audi and a Volvo, you can't compare the performance to the Audi or other entry level luxury cars. It was a 'no brainer' after driving a five series BMW for the difference of cost, reliability and updated technology. The Entune on the audio system that has real time traffic, weather, Bing, Pandora and more than the average driver would need. We have previously owned Toyotas and the reliability is historic. I'm sad to say that dealers that were referred by newcars.com did not help me with my decision because the dealers that responded never followed up or reached out for my business. Maybe the Avalon's are selling that well and they just didn't need my business. I did not buy local even though I gave them the opportunity. This is NOT a flaw with NewCars.com, the website did help me narrow down my choices and I got the reviews and technical information I was looking for. So thank you NewCars .com, you did your job well!
