Don't get fooled by the hype on this one

As a long time Toyota fan(bought my 1st one in 1975), I became completely dismayed with the lease of my latest, the 2016 Avalon Hybrid. I purchased the vehicle as I was impressed with its hybrid features and stated mileage ratings of 40 mpg city, which is mostly what I do for my job. I also wanted a future feature auto that included easy smartphone hookup and bluetooth connection for hands free operation of my phone. Both of those features turned out to be huge failures on Toyota's end and while I can't do anything about the mpg rating and the fact that I barely get 30 mpg's, Toyota is bent on saying it's due to my driving style; however, the fact that my center console bluetooth NAV system continues to randomly reboot and Toyota is adamant about not fixing it, even though it has a 3 year warranty on it, they state here that it's an incompatibility issue with my phone. The funny thing here, though, is that my phone has absolutely no issues connecting to any other bluetooth device that I own, plus it's one of the latest Apple iPhones sold within the last 6 months. I've requested a new head unit and Toyota refuses to oblige, which just means that this 30 year loyal fan will be shopping for something other than a Toyota when my lease is up next year. It's too bad, because the car is comfortable for my large frame and is a nice driving car, but, I'm sure I will have no problem meeting those two conditions on anything other than Toyota.

This car is akin to a starship

I absolutely love this car. I have the Premium in Parisian Blue. I call it the USS Avalon because it feels like you?re driving a starship. So much room! Even my family of five (with one in a rear-facing car seat) is comfortable in this car. It?s a very smooth ride and has a lot of safety features that help you out. Plus, it?s a Toyota so you know it?ll last forever!

Comfort, Performance and Economy

This is a nice, full-sized sedan with all the creature comforts and style that delivers great fuel efficiency. Finally, the Avalon doesn't look boxy and dull (very Lexus-y now)!

Awesome! Exactly what I was looking for!

Purchasing my 2016 Toyota Avalon Hybrid was a great buying experience. Cars.com was a great website, easy to use, great details about each vehicle I was interested in, including the history of each car. The vendors always responded promptly. KC Summers Toyota was a most excellent dealership to work with from my salesman, Garrett Lee, to the rest of sales and business team. In appropriate ways they all made me feel welcome and comfortable. They have a great hometown feel to their business. I felt like one of the family and community!

So far for the few miles we've drove it i'm happy.

Car seems to handle well, like all the extra's on the limited. Bought the limited for the safety features, lane departure alert and dynamic radar cruise control. Every car should be made with those safety items. Haven't taken it very far, as of now around town it's averaged 43 mpg. Very pleased with that!! Very quiet car, A/C and cooling seats all work well.
