This is my first car, dad's jealous.

I didn't have much high standards for a car, as long as it got me where I need to go and back. I bought this car for only 150 bucks and have only put under 500 into it. Had to buy tires because they were horrible. When i got this car it had 198000 miles already on it, now I'm at 201688 miles and still running strong. The car may not look like much but sure packs a punch! Hoping my next car or truck will be just as good.

The reviews are right

What can I add? I originally leased this car brand new. I was 47 at the time. When the 3-year lease ended I liked the car so much that I bought it for the lease residual amount. Flash forward 20 years and the Camry has held up better than I have! It now has 180,000 miles, and took me into my retirement. When I bought a newer vehicle for my wife, we traded her 1999 Mazda rather than give up my Camry even though the latter had almost 100K more miles. The car we bought was a 2015 Camry hybrid. My mechanic told me the 1999 Camry may outlast the 2015. I had two failures, the starter and the radiator, but I don't complain about either because they were both after many, many years. I recently took the car for a tuneup and my mechanic declined to do it, he said the car was running good and didn't need one. It's the best car I've ever owned. Still runs well and ALWAYS starts, even in the brutal Chicago-land winters.

Good "new" old car

I just bought my 99' 3 days ago from a toyota dealer . It has 129,600 miles a new timing belt & tires and runs great... i feel very safe inside it & its actually wonderful on gas for its size. It has a few cosmetic issues which is to be expected. Like my drivers window does not work but im going to have my machanic fix that issue.ive read some reveiws like it could be a fuse? Everything else & all the other windows work. When i start it up its very quiet & i cant even tell if its running 😆 & im satisfied all around i know toyotas go forever & with it having the new timing belt i feel like itll have a long lasting life... id rather have an "old" new car anyday. (Toyota)

I'VE BEEN BLESSED WITH A 99 CAMRY XLE

I did my homework and know the 99 Camry to be one of the best years ever, so when my Corolla finally got too hard for me and my wife to get in and out of (bad knees), it was time to move up. I waited... and waited, and waited, and just when a low mileage, meticulously dealer maintained 99 Camry XLE became available, I pounced on it. I am now the proud owner of a 20 year old baby green 83k Camry named Flora

Most dependable car I've ever owned.

I bought this car new 1999. The camry has 286000 miles on it and still runs like a dream. I've replaced little things like struts, alternator, and starter. I've drive this car until it dies and rebuild it and go again. I'm hoping to go to 500,000 miles

Well performing car for the miles and age.

There?s definitely some problems with this car, but it is a comftorable and reliable vehicle. If you really just need something to get from point A to point B, this is a well priced vehicle that should get many more miles.

Reliable AF!!!

Such a great car that I had TWO! Both ran until they died. Hundreds of thousands of miles! Good gas mileage and so easy to drive long distances because you stay comfortable. I'd own a Camry again and again!!! My go-to car!
