Most reliable car I've ever owned

This car met all of my needs. I believe it can go another 150,000 miles. It has plenty of legroom in the front and back. the 2005 series has to be one of the best Camry's Toyota has made. The ride is great and I enjoy being able to remote start my car in the winter. The added hands free bluetooth is also a plus.

Peeling clear coat

Where is the recall for the peeling clear coat for the 2005 Camry? Many Camrys have this problem not just mine! It doesn't make Toyota look good (literally).

Solid ride

I couldn’t pass up a 05 xle, six cyl with only 47k miles in 2016. It was low mileage but still eleven yrs old, so I replaced belts, water pump, radiator, wheel bearings. Topped off with the Prolong engine treatment right at purchase and it runs so silently and smoothly. I Splurged and upgraded all front lights to LEDs...making this relatively old ride look a bit updated. I simply adore the gathered-leather look on the doors and the rear window sunshade. The trunk is enormous and side-air-curtains reassure as roomy, leathered-rear seat (which fold down 60-40) seats three kids. The downsides are merely cosmetic: the paint is fragile, exhaust pipe is an unfinished version and the passenger airbag has a gigantic gap that screams “here I am!” This, however minor, still never fails to escape my notice. Lastly the tall design which makes for impressive headroom, does result in a bit chunky design trait. Some call it dorky, which create blindspots (thick c-pillar) but I interpret it as substance. thx for reading.

More Powerful and More Stable than Imagination

It's my first car, it's performance beyond my expectations for an old car more than 180,000 miles. Except for routine maintenance, it has never taken any trouble to me. If possible, I prefer to have a new one in the future.

HIGH MILEAGE VEHICLE ~ great value

We are snowbirds. Purchased this high mileage(125K at purchase), one owner vehicle as a second car which we would leave here and only use in the winter. Have had several Toyotas and always had good dependability; same with this one. Our only issue with AutoNation-Tempe is that they sold it to us a certified and later found out that the certification was only theirs, not Toyota's. When we brought it in for an oil change shortly after purchase, they told us that the timing and serpentine belt needed replacement. If it was that close to needing replacement, how could they certify?? We felt deceived. Had the work done, of course, but soured us on the dealership. Talked to Toyota Corporate and they tried to get AutoNation to replace or do it at lower cost but the refused.

Meet all my need and great on gas. Cost around 25 bucks to fill up the tank of gas and just drive. Not to big or small.

Reliable family car/travel car

This car is perfect for a family because it’s extremely reliable and starts up right away without hesitation! Kept up with all maintenance! Very little rust of any and a few dents and scratches but overall engine and transmission are A1
