2009 Toyota Camry consumer reviews

The 2009 Toyota Camry I owned consumed a lot of oil. If I was to fill the gas tank, I would also have to add a quart of oil. I had it to the dealer last year when my check engine light came on. They replaced the spark plugs and now a year later I had it back to the dealer for check engine light and now they say I need an engine. The car is sitting in my driveway waiting to be picked up for scrap. No more Toyota for me.

Purchased this Camry in 2009. Always had reg maintenance/oil changes done. Never has this car failed me. Always starts, never left me stranded. Nothing broken on it (air, windows, etc.) Still looks amazing. Only 90K miles on it - torn between getting a new vehicle & driving this another 100K miles! You can't go wrong with a Toyota, people!

This is my wife's car but we use it for trips because it gets better mileage than my Acura CL. Very comfortable ride but somewhat mushy in corners. Maybe stiffer shocks would help. My wife says "I love my Camry"! It is the second one we have had and will probably buy another one in the future.

I bought this car because I really needed a car quickly and this was available to me with only 63k miles on it. Coming from a Ford Taurus, the interior felt cheap with gray plastics throughout (not a big deal) This was my first Toyota and I bought it with an open mind as I drove Ford's previously. Unfortunately, this car burned oil (common problem with the 2AZ-FE) and almost left me stranded 2 states away. I had extra oil on me and made it back safely. This car burned 6 quarts of oil in 40k miles over a 14 month span. A wind noise developed that drove me absolutely insane making the car more unbearable to drive. To be fair I drove this car from Massachusetts to North carolina and back and it did great, though I had to add oil on my way back. I couldn't deal with the noises and was sick of adding oil to it so often and got rid of it soon after 100k miles. I'll probably never buy a Toyota again. I went back to Ford!

This car met all my needs. Me and my family had many long journeys with it and never had a problem. it comes with 3 usb ports, CD player, a sunroof and many more.
