Happy with my purchase

I researched new and certified pre-owned vehicles for two months before finally deciding to go with a third Camry. My previous car was/is a '97 Camry. My college bound son is now driving it. We are all happy!

I owned 8 toyotas and 5 of them were camrys...

I traded in an 09 for an 11. This was the first toyota i ever bought where they wouldn't come off sticker price. I will not be buying from them again: But the car is good...i don't get the mileage in this 11 as did in the 09 or the other toyotas...but it does have more power and more room. Camry's have a big trunk and plenty of interior room. I will always have a toyota...i might get an SUV next time since i don't get the good mileage anymore. the 1999 camry i owned got 37 on hwy...the 09 got 33 on hwy...now im lucky to get 30 hwy...but is more power...even tho i's rather have the mileage... i had a wreck in my 1990 camry that you wouldn't think anyone would have lived thru; but camry at that time was the second safest car made...thanks toyota for great cars...

Interesting

Was always more of a Honda person. Had a 1996 Civic DX coupe, put 273,000 miles on it, liked it. Have had many makes, and models of cars, never thought Toyota would be one of my cars. Had a Prius, liked, boring to drive, though, not the advertised gas milage. Camry very good deal, has grown on me. Sometimes boring, told my brother it's the relaxed fit jeans of cars, but zero problems. Expect this car to last a long time. Whine of engine reassures me. Sounds like a turbine, super smooth. Trans does jerk around a bit, think has more gears than knows what to do with, but livable. Gas milage erratic. Sometimes 32 in mixed driving, sometimes 25 in same situations. Highway 30, less than advertised 32. ? I usually get above advertised milage., but, overall, very enjoyable to drive, especially on long trips. No fatigue at all. Makes long trips easy. Something very simple, and likable about the car. Been a learning experience for me. Guy I knew had Honda CRV for years, shows up one day with Toyota Rav 4. Asked him why, told me Honda wouldn't deal on price. Did say it drives more like a truck, whereas Honda drove more like a car.

Camry SE

Looks masculine, especially in super white. Has good power for a 4-banger. Very nice to drive and I get good comments on the exterior. Milage is 25 city and 31 highway.

Unsafe Car

I bought my 2011 Camry and was very excited to own it. However, I soon realized that the car can shift in to reverse while in motion (and stepping on the gas peddle). I found this out when a water bottle hit my shifter and knocked my car in to reverse while I was driving about 10 miles an hour. When I brought my car to Toyota to complain, thinking I had bought an isolated lemon, I was informed that all their cars/Camrys are manufactured this way. Don't believe me? Get in your Camry and try it, or test drive a 2011. I'm not sure if the 2012s do it. Terrible car and resale value.

2011 Camry SE, boringly reliable.

I love my 2011 Camry SE. I never believed all the negative press Toyota has recieved and did not hesitate to buy I-4 Camry SE. The performance for a four cylinder is robust and traction from the larger 17" tire and wheel package is great. Another pleasant suprise has been better than expected fuel economy. I am averaging over 28mpg overall combined driving. Toyota is number one in my book and will continue to buy again, again, and again.

this camry is the 2nd camry I have owned.

I bought my 1st camry in nov 1993,driving to work over 80 miles a day. Iretired in sept 2005,Istill drove the camry until Aug 2011. My wife and I decided we needed a new car to take us well into our retirment years. The camry has proven to be one of the best cars sold today in the USA. As a bonus it is made right here at home in Georgetown, Kentucky. We are counting on this Camry to last as good or better than the old one.The old camry had two hundred and thirty two thousand miles.
