2014 Toyota Camry consumer reviews

Toyota Camrys have been the most reliable autos I have ever owned. At different times I have owned Plymouth, Pontiac, Mercury, and Ford. Starting in 1993 with my first Camry, I found that these cars are the most reliable and hold their value better than any other cars I have owned.

The biggest selling point for me (besides reliability) is the ultra smooth V6. I drive 600-1000 highway miles a week, so a good balance of power and efficiency is key for me. With great power and near silent operation, you feel like you're driving a Lexus for less. Toyota always made the best V6 in the class and this one continues that tradition. It's a shame to see most manufacturers going towards turbo four cylinders as their upgrade engines. They just don't have the refinement of a nice six cylinder. In addition, the transmission is top-notch with smooth, nearly unnoticeable, and perfectly timed shifts. The interior is beautiful with great materials, comfortable seats and intuitive technology. The Eco meter on the instrument cluster is a nice and useful touch and the seats are extremely comfortable even on longer drives. Contrary to what others think, I actually love the styling of the car and do not find it bland at all. It has a smooth, aerodynamic, angular shape that is very appealing. My only gripe with the car is how easily the paint chips although that has been an issue with every Toyota I've owned over the years. Certainly not enough to bump down the rating though. I owned a prius and a camry. I prefer camry. All the whether I've been driven. Snow / Desert / Rain Camry is very reliable.

I like my car but it is already having some issues. It has 60,000 miles and I have replaced the tires and when I went in for service they said I would need brakes before too long. The noise from outside (I.e. road conditions, smooth ride) is not great but nothing I can?t live with.

Great car, cost efficient, great gas mileage. Very good sporty looking sedan. Very roomy and has a lot of trunk space. Perfect for small families and commuting.
