New car for my budget

The car has meet all my needs but had to get an extra package just so I could get air vents in back seat. I was able to financially win that option to make a sale for the dealership. I hope the reliability is as good as the comfort and style. So far, I?m very pleased with my new purchase!

Love the redesign, technology not as comfortable

To put this in perspective I upgraded from a 15 year old 2002 camry LE with 400k miles. Running the numbers on my previous model $.05 mile vehicle acquisition cost, $.09 mile fuel cost, $.03 mile maintenance cost, and $.04 mile insurance cost totaling to $.21 mile cost (well below the current $.535 government mileage rate), I wanted a car just as reliable. Also I wanted a sedan with folding seats. I opted for the V6 model. The 301 hp engine mated to the 8 speed transmission is very impressive acceleration wise although I have found shifting in the Eco mode to be slightly lethargic with a brief indecision period (comparing this my fathers 2015 ES350, the ES shifts smoother). I love the space age interior and JBL sound system. I will say even for a 6' 3" person there is plenty of legroom in front and back although seats are a bit uncomfortable especially for the legs (maybe once broken in they will be better). Mileage claims 22 city which is accurate. However highway falls short of the advertised 33 mpg (still testing this though). The all glass top is a nice touch. Although it is nice that Scout is included among all the models, it is limited in its capabilities. I would have preferred the navigation upgrade as with the scout it doesn't always mate to the Iphone 6+ and I don't like not being able to input destinations unless car is in park. I also prefer having individual tire pressures shown (like the ES350) rather than a single notification that the tires are low. The only other thing I don't like about this car is the fuel tank is almost 5 gallons less than the 2002 model. Other things are road noise which is evident (but this level is on par with the ES350 I mentioned) and the low ground clearance. The safety features are nice as I have had to use auto braking twice driving intown traffic with the exception of pulling into a tight parking space with hedges on the drivers side and the front. The motion sensors and braking engaged and the transmission made a grinding noise for a second. Automation are really nice although I found it can be fooled such as the high beams keep dimming on narrow winding dirt roads (I haven't found the override for this yet). Overall this is appears to be good redesign of a reliable model.

Love the design/ Entune is AWFUL/ Clunky tranny

The car is beautiful inside and out. My only issues with the design are there seems to be some wind noise on the side windows when closed, and even with the seat as low as possible, if I were to leech forward on a sudden stop, there?s a chance my head could hit the visor in its upward stored/closed position. It depends on how quick the belt would lock. Entune sucks. The Scout GPS is nowhere near as good as Waze, which won?t work on the screen. There are always connection issues with Entune, and if I connect my phone with the USB the system seems to think my phone is an iPod and then nothing works. Terrible! Lastly, the car shifts hard sometimes when you first put it in gear, and when slowing it coasting, the downshift feels clunky and actually feels like it slows the car considerably when it shifts, which makes you want to accelerate, even when you?re planning/moving towards a stop.

They Crippled Entune 3.0 system in the name of saf

They Crippled Entune 3.0 system in the name of safety. All 3 audio system models have been crippled in more than one way or another. Really love this car except for the entune 3.0 suite. It has been stripped of features. Will not display music grace-note album pics except in park - now feature is worthless. Toyota salesman said it was broken. Could not believe it was now blocked while moving. They specifically restricted pic from phone book except when stopped or in park. It has restricted receipts of emails and text while the car is moving. Now you must spend more time poking on the screen. If you had previous Camrys then you miss these features instantly. Bad move on Toyota's part. See lots of complaints on different boards. Have bought 12 Toyotas in the past 15 years. Now looking at Honda Accord. Toyota is trying to hide this info in its literature and responses to complaints with vague phrases like ?some feature are restricted while vehicle is in motion?. The manuals is hard to read so it is hard to find where it states what will actually be ?restricted.?

2018 Toyota Camry XSE

We have ONLY ordered the 2018 Toyota Camry XSE, and have NOT received it yet. SO it would be pointless to say anything about our own experience of it yet. I have filled out to the necessary star information since this CANNOT be sent without doing that. We are VERY impressed with the 2018 Toyota Camry, but to receive any more request at this point will be ignored.

Most reliable car I owned

I love the new 2018 body style ? inside and out. It is the most comfortable of all the Toyota Camrys I've owned as well.
