Bought 99 new and still own it with mileage in the 70,000 range.Had it detailed for the first time yesterday.It looks amazing.I often joke that there's a race between us as to which one lasts the longest it or me.Best car ever .

I bought my black SLE V6 coupe new in '99. It was going to be my sunny summer Sunday car and that's just what it has been. After over 23 years I have only replaced an EGR valve and an O2 sensor. That's nothing to brag about really since it only has 38k miles. It is on it's second set of tires and second battery. I special ordered it from Canada with every option but a sunroof. I struggled to pay the $23k back then but I made it. It has been in my basement most of the time so it still looks showroom new. The paint has never needed waxing. I have owned 42 vehicles over the last 56 years and this one has been one of my favorites. The oldest car that I have owned was a '41 Ford. They newest is a '19 Outback. I have owned all kinds, but have had the best service out of Hondas and Toyotas (including Lexus).

Toyota is a brand everyone knows. This car reminds me more when their product was solid, strong and meant to last, with the most basic of care.

This car takes me from point A to point B with no problem ive owned this car for 4 years now and have had no serious issues with it.

This car is all we needed. I never thought of something that should be in a different or better way. I did little repairs but never a mayor repair.

I bought my 1999 Toyota Solara V6 about 3 years ago in California for $1900, with 180,000 miles but it look like new back then , now i have 235,000 miles , i never had any mechanical problems, drove it from California to New Jersey and now i'm going back to CA. Best car ever !

This car was bought new in 1999 for commuting and then about 2007 it was used by my oldest son and then the youngest until he was out of college. I have been driving for 3 years now again and have 236,000 miles on car. Love it and have minimal issues with any system on car. 3.0 liter manual

Bought an SE V6 5speed manual used with 180,000 miles for $2000 I got 250,000 on the original clutch. Still runs like new. No issues. So glad I bought the V6. Plenty of power. Great for road trips. Plenty of trunk space. Decent space for rear passengers. By far the most practical coupe I have ever owned.

I have owned my 99 Solara for 8 years now, I have put a lot of money into the car over the years , I have not reall put any money into the motor. The car now has 257,000 miles on it , runs like a champ still has lots power behind it, especially with the 5 speed manual, uses no oul.
