My best Toyota yet....

My 2008 FJC TTSE is following a legacy of other Toyotas I have owned. I started with a 79' 4X4 PU (3' lift, 33X12.5 tires) , went to an 87' Runner (3' lift, 33X12.5 tires) then eventually moved up to a 96' FJ80 Landcruiser(3' lift, 318X70 tires). This car by far has outperformed all of then in every aspect. Which is to be expected because of the technology in the car but man, can this beast off road. Plenty of power from the 4.0 liter V-6, comfortable suspension, roomy interior and just all out fun to drive. Did I mention it has a lot of power? That was the only thing I did not like about my past Toys but this one has plenty to spare. He is riding on a 3" Toytec lift with beefy 255/8516 MT tires. I am confident I will get this to over 250K like my others. The odometer is currently at 160K and he runs like new with absolutely no oil leaks. Great job Toyota!

Great daily adventure car

The FJ Cruiser is a great everyday driver you can take to the trails. My FJ is quieter than I expected and the road manners are excellent considering the rugged off road suspension. The body is well built and the interior is durable and easy to clean. I opted for the 4x4 version for the occasional trip off road. And for resale value.

Reliable, Great Stance, Fun Drive

We just bought our 08 FJ. it has 115K miles on it and because it's a Toyota, that's not as scary as it would be for another brand. I love the look of it, love the reputation of Toyota and enjoy the drive. It has a lot of power and handles well.

Love my 07 FJ! It did Pikes Peak!

Just got it before our vacation to Colorado to the mountains. It was great! It performed extremely well. We averaged out at about 17mpg with mountain driving in that figure. We drove about 3200 miles in 9 days time. The AC is typical freeze you out toyota efficiency and it was a comfortable ride. I am so glad I got it. I had a 96 tacoma for 20 years and the frame broke due to rust after 350k miles but I love Toyota!

Most reliable and capable car I've owned

The FJ Cruiser is one of my most favorite cars I've owned, not only for its styling but its on and off-road capability. The FJ has no problems traveling far distances for a road trip and going off-road for a weekend camping trip. The FJ rides smooth on the highway with excellent acceleration, brakes and handling for an SUV. When going off-road the FJ proves its self to be extremely capable over large rocks, snow and mud. After a long weekend out on the trail, the FJ can easily go back to normal road conditions without any problems. That being said, the FJ is the most reliable and durable car I've had. No issues at all even with rough off-road conditions with 100,000 miles. If you're in the market for a reliable off-road capable vehicle then the FJ Cruiser is the perfect car.

Great Truck!

Lots of fun to own. Extremely reliable. Some people don't like the way they look, but I love them. They're very capable off road and plenty comfortable for long road trips. Only issues are rear seat accessibility (its tough to get back there so probably not optimal for families,) short gas range, and rear visibility. Otherwise its a blast. My favorite car I've owned.

I love this SUV. Im at 200k miles on it and no issues! It takes a special person to love it though because it does have some faults but i love it enough to look past them. Visibility will be poor for some through the windshield design. It's straight up and down so for me the traffic light is cut off so I have to bend down or lower my seat and that still doesn't work that well for me. Blind spots are huge towards the C-pillar. Get you some blind spot mirrors. Power is adequate for the weight size I'f you aren't towing. It's very capable off road and in the snow. It's cramped for back seaters but this isn't a 4 runner. The styling I love and I know it's hit or miss for some. You won't see that many and get plenty of Land Rover and Mercedes G-Class drivers complimenting its looks. Toyota reliable as usual but some of the early 07/08 models have their issues and there is plenty of helpful people in the Toyota forums about this vehicle. Holds a great resale value if you plan on selling it. This is one of the few vehicles I want to preserve and keep. The styling most likely won't age or age as bad as some of the egg shaped vehicles lol

Solid vehicle, horrible gas millage

I really do enjoy driving the FJ. It's got plenty pep for a 6 cylinder. Problem is the mpg, it's the worst of any vehicle I have ever owned. I ended up buying a 02 Jetta TDI for my daily driver as the FJ was bleeding me dry. I knew about the millage before i bought but ended up moving farther away from work. If you are not intending it to be a daily driver and more of a recreational I highly recommend it. It is a tough, fun, go anywhere kinda thing.
