I always research before I buy a new vehicle using Consumer Reports and others. I always end up with the Highlander which has everything I want in it. I have never had a mechanical problem. The cargo space with the 3rd row down is a big factor. Friends remark about the comfort and quiet.

Have not owned this car very long, but my impression so far is very good. There are a couple of very tiny issues, but no car is perfect.

The legroom for all passengers is plentiful. The seats are very comfortable, and the leather makes them feel luxurious. There are many safety features, and I feel confident in taking my family on a road trip in this car. The storage space is large, plenty of room for luggage for a week long family vacation when the third row seats down. The rear heat/air is an argument saver. Overall, it was the best choice for us.
