Some small issues

Slight problems--I used to drive a large SUV and NEVER had any issues and only brought it into the shop for one "repair" which was alignment. So far, my Prius has had a dead battery, broken throttle body, several burnt out headlights, and plugged catalytic converter/o2 sensors. Good ride, but starts to get finicky when older. If you don't have the money to maintain a hybrid, stick to normal compact cars.

Excellent vehicle! Great MPG and very reliable.

The Prius may not look super pretty, but it's MPGs are the best! The quality of the engine and electronics is superb.

Fuel Efficient and Reliable

This car has been incredibly reliable. Now at over 100k miles, it has basically required just oil changes, tire rotations, windshield wipers, etc. The fuel economy is outstanding. It does fluctuate slightly depending on your driving habits. This is my first Toyota, and it won't be my last. Whenever I'm through with this one, I will probably buy a slightly newer model.

Great Performer

I bought a used 06 Prius 2 years ago and this has been the most reliable vehicle with no issues and just basic maintenance. My vehicle has most ever option offered in 06 (Nav, Bluetooth, camera, fogs, homelink, CD changer, steering wheel radio and climate control etc and everything still works perfectly. I would recommend the prius to anyone and would gladly own one again in the future. This is my 2nd Prius.

06 Toyota Prius

I love my Prius. It's great on gas and it's so quiet when it runs that I'm often asked if I have the car on. The only problems I have is the headlights have a tendency of going off when driving at night.

The best hybrid vehicle your money can buy

The Toyota Prius is a great car if you are looking to reduce your transportation expenses. It really lives up to its high MPG ratings, is unbelievably simple to maintain, and has a large following of kind owners willing to help you if you run into any problems. The car can go 10,000 miles between oil changes, has tires that are insanely cheap to replace, and does not have many of the belts that a conventional car does, though it does have a serpentine belt. The only thing I don't like about the car is the front seats. They are only adjustable four ways and do not provide much support on my body. Buying aftermarket leather seat covers alleviated the problem a bit, but not completely.
