saves money cheap to maintain

Great on gas! I actually get 43 to the gallon. And gets the best milage on the highway (contrary to epa testing). Very high tech and I love all the features. I would recommend to everyone!

Miles Per Gallon Can't Be Beat

I'm getting 53 mpg in my Prius and simply loving it. Needs very little maintenance, exterior looks brand new even after 3 years, and interior is very roomy.

Now is the time to go HYBRID!

After passing up a used Prius for my last two purchases, I finally followed my gut instinct. The price of gas isn't going down in the long run and my commute isn't getting any shorter. My '08 Touring edition has plenty of room for me and my stuff, and the family when needed, including the dog. It's been rock solid dependable, does well in the snow and averages just over 40mpg in winter, even better if I stay off the interstate. The steering wheel controls for climate, audio, etc. are handy and the video display touch screen operation is well thought out. The back-up camera has saved the cat more than once. Continuosly variable transmission is smooth and takes the chore out of finding the right gear - important with a small output engine. Sure, it has that "love it or hate it" look, and gets buffeted around in crosswinds more than my previous 2 ton cars, but they're sacrifices I'll accept to get twice the mileage. Overall, if you don't need a behemoth, or can no longer afford one, it's time to consider a Prius. With ultra low emissions - how cool that the engine turns off while coasting or at a stop - you're helping clear the air, too.

An OK Car

I bought this Prius when gas was $4/gallon and it has been perfect for that purpose. It truly is larger on the inside (trunk area) that it looks, I have put lumber up to 8' long inside with the trunk closed! If you are looking for a long-distance cruiser the front seats will disappoint, but if you are seriously trying to save at the gas pump, then you will not find a better choice...

Under Impressed

Didn't live up to the hype for me. The headlights each burned out within the first year. It goes through filters rapidly. Seats are very uncomfortable. Feels like I'm a small bug easily squashed if in an accident. Terrible road noise, so the voice recognition doesn't work much. Slides on even slightly wet pavement.

Great mileage

I am getting 47 to 52 MPG. Drive 110 miles a day. Great gas economy, spend $20 to fill up at $2.90 per gal. Very comfortable ride and like the way it handles. Did I say it gets GREAT gas mileage. I love it

BEST CAR EVER!

I bought my 2008 Toyota Prius. It's the best car I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot. It's very quiet, reliable, and spacious. I didn't think the trunk would be so spacious and have so much storage space in it. I've had a hatch back before, but I love this type of hatch back. I love the key-less alarm on the car, and how I can leave my keys in my pocket the whole time. I don't think I'll ever own a different car again.

Prius seems worth it

I was a bit skeptical about the Prius but after 3 weeks of ownership I'm pleased. It's amazing how it motivates you to drive efficiently. Averaging 48 MPG on first 4 tanks. feels like a fast golf cart..i like that. Love the room in the back seat and love the hatchback. It is not particularly comfortable for the driver, but only notice on long trips. Kids LOVE the touchscreen. So far, no buyers remorse. It's amazing how you feel when the gas tank is only 11.5 gallons and you go 500-600 miles.

Great family car

Even with the recalls all hitting the market I still love my Prius! It is such a great family car. It does have a slight pause between braking systems going from the regenerative to the regular braking but it is easy to manage now that I have talked with dealership on how that system works (never had a hybrid before). I upgraded from a Yaris because my kids and hauling too just didn't mix in it. My kids are fascinated by the energy monitor and touch screen. Even in the Ohio snow this year it has done great with the traction control. Plowed right through 2ft of snow in our driveway to get into garage one night after work. Just wish it had the mp3 hookup (just has basic radio/cd combo) I sure miss my ipod!
