Works well for what is needed

This vehicle gets great gas mileage and gets around well in the winter. It definitely isn't what I could call a smooth or quiet ride. Backseat is especially rough. It's very basic and really doesn't have any get up and go. But I will say it is reliable. I never had any issues mechanically.

This car saved our lives!

Last week, someone ran a red light and hit us. (us being me and my 2 year old) He has not a scratch on him and I have only minor bruises. Prior to the accident, I have had no major issues with the car. When it was appraised, the value was THE SAME as when I bought it used 2 years ago! It was roomy enough for my 5'11" frame and the backseat was roomy enough for all we needed it for. I have even fit kayaks inside the vehicle. Looking at a new car, the Toyota Rav4 is on the top of my list.

Ride that lasts on and on

I bought my 2009 Toyota RAV4 new. It has been a great car. Very reliable. In fact I have 183,000 miles on it and going still. The engine stills runs great. Gas mileage is great too.

Most reliable suv owned.

This suv met all my needs, especially with the roof rack or roof bars in order to carry ladder for my work. Interior was pretty roomy too and had ample cargo room.

my third toyota

Wanted and economical small SUV and this fit the bill. Bought it used and have put 30,000 on it. Getting ready to turn over 100,000 and have had no problems at all. Same was the case with my 1977 Corolla which had 158,000 when I sold it. Had to replace a coil one time but no other repairs were ever needed. Never had any mechanical issues with my 1991 Celica GT which had about 125,000 when I sold it. You just can't beat a Toyota. This car has a lot of pep. Storage area is exceptional and includes 2 hidden storage areas. The back seat actually reclines also, making it more comfortable for the passengers. Location of cup holders prohibits larger drinks but that is no an issue for me. It has both 12v and dc plugs.

Low Maintenance and high performance

I owned 2009 RAV4, it's a beautiful mid size SUV. After buying I don't remember when I spend any big money for repair. This car runs well, very comfortable, spacious. This is one of the few car which carries original size spare tire on the door. Exterior design is good. Could have better interior but no complaints...

2009 Rav4 Daily Driver and Toy hauler

I have used this car nearly every day since October 2009. I use it to commute, to take my kid to school, to go to the beach, camping, and to haul my bikes. I really like the storage, and the hidden storage compartment in the back. The car is not too big, and not too small. It is not a "fancy" car, but it does what I want. I take care of it, and I have not had anything too major. I have had to replace the alternator, and an axle, so that was not a fun month. But since then I only do oil, tires and breaks.

It's a very reliable car

The RAV4 is very reliable . It's a car that you won't have to break the bank for and at the same time it isn't " chump change " it's great for all 4 seasons , it's good on gas and doesn't require a lot of maintenance. It's also not too big so you're capable of going into almost any parking spot. It's also not too small, it's a car that can fit an average sized family . Overall, If you want a solid, dependable , economy priced, family car then a RAV4 is perfect car for you .

Love this car! Right size for me.

The only thing I did not end up liking after purchasing is the spare tire on the back. Someone stole the hardcover about a year after purchasing. Found out all you have to do is unzip the cover. Expensive to replace. Thinking about purchasing a newer one with the new body style.
