Best mid sized truck available

I owned five Toyota Tacoma?s in a span of seven years. I had extremely good service from all five. My first was a 2012 and my last was a 2017. Three of the five were the TRD off road double cabs. Toyota made a few changes in the Tacoma in 2016. I liked the changes in the cab and new vehicle style. The Tacoma still is has loud engine noise when you accelerate to enter a busy highway. I got almost 21 mpg on trips and around 14 mpg around town. I had the ?crawl? feature in two of my Tacoma?s. I only actually used it once mostly to just see how it would work. I soon got tired of that mode, and just went back to normal 4x4 high. The leg room in the rear is very limited. The back seat is great to haul groceries or whatever, but adults aren?t going to like riding back there. As far as value, I am a bit disappointed that Toyota is offering some incentives on the Tacoma. This always affects trade in value. Overall if you want a midsize truck Toyota would definitely be the best choice, but if you?re looking for ride, comfort, & power, I?d recommend the Ram 1500.

The Best Truck I've Owned

THIS TRUCK HAS MORE POWER THAN I'VE EVER NEEDED FOR A V6. THE INTERIOR IS VERY COMFORTABLE, THE HEATED SEATS ARE AMAZING. THE JBL SOUND SYSTEM IS OVER THE TOP.

Toyota isn't what it used to be

I've owned a 2017 Toyota Tacoma for over a year now. Sticker price was 42,000 dollars. I paid about 38. Have not been impressed even though I've really tried know its a Toyota. I previously driven the Nissan frontier and was not crazy about it either My Tacoma has a loud ticking noise coming from driver side wheel well I'm told its the fuel pump but no matter it just sounds like noisy lifters. The worse is the clunking sound it makes when down shifting to 1st gear. I'm not the only one who has complained about both. Now I have a broken piece on the trucks bed cover and I'm fight with Toyota whether this is warranty or not. Came with the truck and the truck is just over 1 year old had as 14,000 miles on it. bottom line Toyota is not what they use to be at all!!!!! I'm going to dump mine for a Ford 150 blaster. Don't ask me how the Tacoma is still the top resale vehicle on the market, all I can tell you is it won't be long before that changes. And dealing with Toyota over my minor issue on the bed cover is like pulling teeth and now they say it's not even cover.. Don't buy a Toyota for it's name anymore because they have lost it like everyone else and their name means nothing and their products are not better than anyone else. Don Warneke 2197289659

Toyota Truck

This was my first truck after wanting one for years, I did a ton of research and I finally settled on a Toyota Tacoma, TRD Off Road. Its a great truck and exceeds my fuel mileage expectations. It has a ton of great features and options as well as being very comfortable to drive ( I drive at least 50 miles a day) as well as a surprising amount of storage. It does have a few things I'm not crazy about, It's fully loaded but does not have automatic lights, and the USB location is above the cup holders and if you have a tall bottle or something it bangs against my thumb drive, also the wireless charger could be a little better but I was impressed it even had one.

Love the way it handles and rides

This truck has plenty of room in front and back. All the USB plugs are great. It handles well in tight spots. Safe for the Grand Children.

Great Truck with a few weaknesses

The styling and reliability of the Tacoma is always great as well as resale. The issue I have with this truck is the transmission programming to squeeze out that extra mpg. Truck shifts into higher gears way too early and requires a heavy foot to get back into lower gear.

Very reliable

Yes, the Toyota Tacoma is a good truck. It's one of the best off-roaders in the class, and it's comfortable and capable on pavement. Inside, you'll find supportive seats and easy-to-use technology. The Tacoma also boasts the highest predicted reliability rating in the segment. Still, some other trucks in the class can tow more and go further on each gallon of gas. Also, despite its user-friendly infotainment system, the Tacoma has a low-rent interior compared to its rivals.
