Incredible value

If you want the hot hatch road feel, but don?t want to spend the GTI or focus ST money for a brand new car, the gold is an amazing alternative as i have come to find out. the 170 horsepower turbocharged 4 cylinder engine is quick and snappy, the steering has a heavy feel to it, and the interior has a surprisingly luxury feel to it at a 20,000 dollar price point.

Great Car For the Money

The car has a solid feel and has great handling. The advantage of front wheel drive was evident during recent inclement weather. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this car again.

Reliable Top Ten Performer

Every year it makes several car magazines top ten lists. It's simple design is lightweight, quick, beautifully crafted inside, loaded with features, and a fantastic price point between $20,00 for an S and $22,000 for SE. The dynamics of 4 wheel independent suspension makes the Golf handle very smartly and butter soft smooth. The SE comes with a sunroof and is loaded with safety features that rival a lot of upscale $40,000 cars. Not bad huh?

Favorite car I have ever owned

I love this car. I test drove all the competitors Elantra, Impreza, Focus, Mazda 3 And Mini Cooper. None of them felt as solidly built as the Golf. None of them had the pep that the 1.8 turbo in the Golf has. I bought the base model (only option is auto transmission.). But I love how much you get with this car. I had to keep asking are you sure this is the base model? Apple car play/android auto, backup camera, steering wheel controls, nice touch screen mmi system and premium interior materials, so much more then the competitors. The car has a lot of get up and go when I need it, yet it can achieve 38 mpg if I want. Very comfortable, yet sporty ride. The Golf is so practical to own. A lot of cargo room (think 52 cubic feet, somewhere around there.). It?s like a mini SUV, but economy of a small car. Great looking exterior as well. And just can?t be beat for the price. I would highly recommend this car. Test drive one today

The most practical, well-balanced and refined compact car made. Fund to drive and still available with manual transmission!

Most valuable car I owned!

This car met all of my needs. It had plenty of leg room in the front and back for such a small looking car and it had all the space I needed to haul stuff around. I enjoyed the dashboard settings, especially blue tooth.

Can?t say enough good things

My son was shopping for a car and we test drove a new Golf. Oh my God. What a wonderful little car for it much money!! The 2018 is an even better value than the 2017. The car is sleek and sharp on the outside. Inside is cozy but well laid out. Giant display. Leather wrapped steering wheel is like holding a fat sausage, unlike the plastic ring you grip in other models. Golds are fast. The turbocharged 1.8 is legendary and will reach warp drive before you realize how fast you are coming up behind traffic. We drove an automatic and I can only imagine this little thing in five speed.

Great Car with a Weird Clutch

This car, bought new at 20 000 is one of the best of the segment I test-drove (Including the fiesta st, honda fit, civic si from 2013). The interior is miles ahead of the rest, and the performance is there to match. However the clutch is pretty weird and takes some getting used to (first car I own with an electronic clutch). The power is good, and the handling is great. The steering has a nice weight to it. Overall very pleased with my purchase.
