2013 Volkswagen GTI consumer reviews

I have owned many, many VWs. This one has been the best yet. No issues, no breakdowns, just a great car all around. Very fun to drive and gets about 25-30 mpg depending on your driving style.

The best all-around feeling you can get from a car. It doesn?t get much better than this. This car handles way better than expected.

All together the GTI has been great to me. Performance for the $$ is hard to beat. Only draw back is the front wheel drive, if that bothers you.

Excellent driving feel, almost no turbo lag, almost no torque steer, plenty of power, lots of cargo room with the rear seats folded down, nice interior. The front seats might be a little narrow for very large people.

4dr, 6sp manual. In the traditional of hot hatches and GTIs, this car does everything great. I love the feel of the manual, with a very reasonable clutch effort. I have a knee that acts up from a skiing related torn cartilage, but I can drive this all day. The only two items that I would change are: the A/C isn't that effective (I have 15yr old cars on original systems and refrigerants that blow colder), and the only available interior color is black. But those are relative minor on my list -- I could see sticking with GTIs for a long time.

Buying this car was the best decision I could have made. As a working mom of 3 (in car seats!), I needed space and comfort but my heart desires a car I love to drive. The GTI has all the room of a SUV with the comfort, style & performance Volkswagen is known for. I can cart around my littles by day in a safe, economical vehicle. Then when I go out by myself I still feel like me as I race this beauty around. This hot hatch is so quick and smooth and handles like a champ around any curve or turn. I love the looks of surprise when you finally catch up to me at a red light and see the cheesy grin this car puts on my face on a daily basis. I looked at hundreds of vehicles but nothing even came close once I found the GTI. The way this car makes me feel is proof that hard work pays off. There is nothing about this car I don't like. Oh yeah, and interlagos plaid bucket seats. DSG. Turbo. Nuff said.

Great performing vehicle and excellent handling. Amazing comfortable ride for a small car. Beautiful styling, fast and no turbo lag. Good quality interior materials and great sound/Nav Audio system.

This is the car to have as it performs well and it's a reliable car. Volkswagen also out does its self but the company was able to create a compact, fast and beautiful car while have a great price point .

Great car for getting around city and commuting to work. Reliable and easy to drive. Great car for young professional who wants to get out of town every now and then.

Bought this car a while ago and it is absolutely a great joy to drive it. There are many forums about modifying and questions and answer for GTI and it's absolutely great.
