Not the greatest

We've had a lot of break downs and expensive repairs. It costs on average $500.00 each time we take it to be repaired. Not worth it.

What a great car! 2008 Jetta 2.0 Turbo

Very reliable. Great looking. German engineering. VERY safe. Both of my college-aged girls drive Volkswagen cars because I know they are reliable and safe.

Great Car for Pretty Much Anything

I have the Wolfsburg 2.0T edition. The engine is a pain to work on but most German cars are. Overall one of the best cars I've ever owned. Very comfortable and has held up well. Generally I put 20,000+ miles per year on a vehicle and at 180,000 miles there is no end in sight for this vehicle.

A Very Reliable Car

I owned this vehicle from brand new to 80k miles and now my mom owns it. Its a fantastic car that held up for all 8 years that I owned it for. Its quick for a compact car and also very comfortable. It was an absolute pleasure to own.

Reliable car

This car is honestly perfect. I wanted this car as a first car and maybe even last because of how dependable it is.

Good looking and sturdy sedan

This is a sturdy and good style car especially with the leather seating. Works great for summer though you may experience winter trouble if you are not use to FWD. Due to low ground clearance, snow gets piled up near the tire areas.

Fantastic car

This is a review of the 2.5l Jetta SE. Has been a fantastic vehicle, nothing required other than the regularly scheduled maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, followed the book on other maintenance). The reliability and the fuel economy really won me over the longer I have owned this vehicle. I think the EPA underrates this vehicle's MPG; during highway driving with the cruise control set, I would regularly see over 30 MPG and could stretch a tank of gas a lot further than I expected. The car has ample power for the class it is in, and the 5 cylinder engine sounds pretty good once you get it above 3500 RPM. It is one of the most comfortable cars for long road trips (leather seats are fantastic and hardly show any wear even after 90k miles). It is not a sports car, so it isn't the sexiest vehicle out there, but looks good and everything (inside and out) is functional and serves its purpose. The interior design is great, everything is laid out in easy to find and easily reachable places. I am 6'3" and fit very comfortably in the Jetta. Overall it is a great vehicle and would definitely recommend to someone looking for a fuel efficient and reliable sedan.
