Very good car for starters.
It's a great first time car. Great fuel consumption too. I primarily used it for daily commuting and it did its job very efficiently.

The most reliable and fuel efficient car I've had.
The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta is the perfect car for a driver that is looking for reliability, affordability and fuel economy. My local shop says it is a very easy car to work on and the parts are inexpensive to replace. It's a great car for first time drivers, college students, young professionals, families and everyone!

Comfort and style made affordable
Its a jetta, so you arent expecting a crazy engine, but for the engine it has- it does well!... The leather interior in my SE is so nice, and the deep bucket style seats make drives comfortable and fun. The exterior is simple yet sporty, and looks expensive. For my price tag of 16,000$ i got a 2013 jetta with only 7,000 miles and a full factory warranty. The seats and center consol in the back still had the protetive plastic on it! I love this car. It will treat you well!

Jetta makes German engineering accessible
I bought a 2013 Jetta in 2014, it had quickly accumulated 30k in mileage at a dealership prior to purchase. Performance wise, it's more than solid. I took the Jetta over a Camry because I knew I wanted to enjoy driving a little longer prior to signing up for a life long relationship with family friendly monstrosities. It's up to 75k, no big issues, a/c acted up a bit and of course fixing VW issues ain't cheap. Would do it over again, resale value is decent as well.

not made for pudgy people
Hurts getting in and out . You cannot miss hitting your head on door frame. Sits low not good for average 5'8 person. Tight spacing all around .Can't fit car seat comfortably and have one more person in back seat.Hill are a challenge. Doesn't change out quick delays and dealer says it's normal. CAR ONLY HAS 42K.

Nifty little car
As long as you don't go to race tracks on the weekends or are competing to see who can get the most speeding tickets amongst your friends this is a great little car.

Falling apart a mile after warranty ends
Wind shield wiper motor ($400), Power window button ($600), faulty ignition/key release ($1,200), and my horn just stopped working. Go with a different car. I've been shocked by the little things that have stopped working, and none of it has been recalled. It's near impossible to remove the keys without some magical finger work... Get a different car. This one sucks.
