Unexpectedly fun to drive

I bought this car because of a new job where I have to drive quite a bit, I am a huge car guy and didn’t think I would like this car but because of the nice styling I decided to drive one, the one I drove was a Jetta S TSI with a manual transmission, I was so presently surprised that I purchased it that night! The car handles amazing and is lots of fun especially with the new 18x8 wheels and tires I put on it the next day! Truly a fun car to drive!

Sporty performance, & every day - practical

This car has all the things I wanted and those I didn’t know I wanted until they showed me the features. This car has heated seats, sunroof, apple car play and USB ports. It also has safety features like blind spot alert. The car has push button start and hands free technology, so you can make calls or change your music without taking eyes off the road. Good fuel economy for everyday commutes and safe, in case anything happens. Great performance under the hood, to help you vroom your way up the road. Helpful for city driving, to get around hazards or problematic drivers.

Mercury Milan

I love the car in itself! Very smooth drive! Although 2 days after I bought it, the battery died and it never stared for me so I called rocky ridge and they ordered a new one right away and 3 days later they switched it out for me! Super fast and reliable...

Almost 27,000 miles on a '17 Jetta "S" 1.4 turbo/5

Purchased late 8/2017 - VW still recovering from emissions scandal. Dealer and Manufacturer discounts enabled a rock bottom price. Verdict: this little 4 cylinder turbo - per Fuelly dot com - has averaged 40.5 MPG since new - with a high of 53 MPG.....................26,750 miles. No issues to date.

Very reliable and economic. Yup, I'd buy it again

I've had my 2017 Jetta 1.4 manual for over 2 years. It has been rock solid reliable and delivers 40 mpg without air conditioning and 39 with. Styling is OK, which is nice as it is unremarkable and police seem to ignore it. For a small car the ride is good and trunk is huge. Great value and fun to drive. Will run all day at 80 mph and get over 40 mpg!

Pleasantly surprised

It handles and drives like a more expensive car. The Turbo helps to power the Jetta more then the previous years of the Jetta that was only fuel injected.

2017 1.4T S - 5MT

I have owned my base TSI for a bit over 4 months. So far it has been a great value and reliable road warrior (I drive over 2k a month for work). The interior is basic but has everything that I need and nothing that I don't. I am 6'4" and have plenty of room. Plus it came with heated mirrors and front seats as an option. The car feels well made with great highway stability and sporty handling for the price. It is quick (not fast) and the clutch/gearbox are easy to operate. Plus strong MPG. Styling is conservative but sporty enough. It's only at 28k but I worry a little about long-term ownership... If you are looking for a reliable (basic) car but want a 3rd pedal and some fun, this is a great choice.

Impressive Little Gem

We bought this car as a runabout, but have taken it cross country more than once. 2500 mile trips, or daily commute to work, this little workhorse never fails to impress.

Extremely low cost of ownership

Extremely reliable commuting vehicle for my long commute (mostly highway). Cost very little to own...outstanding mpg, no maintenance issues, planned oil changes every 10k miles.
