This car can easily be compared to many luxury model cars and hold it's own. And the price tag is still in the mid sized car range.

This is my 3rd passat. The 2012 TDI had a lot more power but the 2015 is still great to drive. Too bad that the diesels have been discontinued.

With the gen 3 diesel engine and the 168,000 mile warranty, this is an extremely tough car to beat. Great seating for 4 to 5 real adults. Excellent handling. Good power for the mountains and highway cruising. Best diesel VW has ever made for the American market.

Great legroom and trunk space. Truly excellent MPG. Routinley get 45 MPG, up to 50 or more during the summer months. Good pickup. Classic design. Easy to use the dahboard controls.

I must start by specifying that my car is a diesel, and I bought it because of the extremely low supply. This said I was positively surprised by the Passat. You do hear the Diesel engine roaring lower than a gas one, but having driven diesel for the last 7 years, it is actually nice. I drive city miles mostly running errands and my kids to and from school and activities but I drive a lot, between 80-100 miles a day. The average mileage I get is 36/gallon, which allows me to get to the gas station once per week. I wish the console between the seats were a bit larger, but overall it works. I do love this car and plan to keep it long term.
