Explore the 2015 Volkswagen Touareg

I've had my first-hand Diesel Touareg for 7 years now.

I've had my first-hand Diesel Touareg for 7 years now. I love her! The Touareg was bought to replace my Golf R32, and i have no regrets. She feels like driving a big Golf. LOL. The Touareg drives like a driver's car. Can't deny the quality of material used for the interior, made to last! Leather interior and panel finish barely has any traces of wear and tear (that's with this car used daily to transport 2 kids). The chrome trim of the R-Line gives this classic silhouette an elegant and polished finish. Keeping her for as long as she can keep going.

I LOVE my diesel engine Volkswagen Touareg!!

I have owned this car for 5 years, and it still looks brand new! The paint is amazing, the interior is pure leather luxury, and it handles like a dream! On top of all that, my gas mileage is incredible! I only have to fill it up 1 x per week, and I drive 60 miles a day! I absolutely adore this car, and I cannot imagine driving anything else.

First test

We tested 4 vehicles. The Touareg, 2 Mercedes Benz suv’s, and 1 Tiguan. My wife drove 2, I drove 2. She liked the Touareg best, so that’s what we bought. It was the one I wanted to purchase anyway, so it all turned out good.

Very Nice!!!

I actually love this truck. I've owned several vehicles over the past 48 years on this earth. I've never loved a vehicle. I think I love this beautiful truck. Its loaded with everything and not as costly as the Audi 2015 I traded with my husband. He trying to switch back now but nope. Lol

Strong and reliable

Safe car to ride on and the miles per gallon is a plus. Second car I own and I don't think of changing my mnd as the value is there.

Over engineered all the way.

This is a Touareg TDI Executive model. Fully decked out with all the options. This SUV is solid built in all aspects. Rides nice, quite and does well on the highway. I am not yet getting the rated 29mpg highway, but closer to 24. Still pretty good for a 4,800 pound SUV. The TDI is an exceptional engine.

Classic and timeless car

Fun to drive. However, I didn?t realize the sunroof is an additional-not standard-option. Interior is pretty basic. It?s a comfortable ride. The v6 doesn?t get great mileage. I would opt for the diesel for better mileage

Great vehicle for the money - TDI

Really solid vehicle for the money when purchased pre-owned. The TDI is great with significant power and styling. The wheelbase is a bit shorter than most SUVs and the suspension can be a bit still (Lux version / TDI) when on the freeway and experiencing a "bump" in the road, specifically rounding corners but overall this is a very solid vehicle with great build quality and performance. I like to drive faster than most and average 26-28MPG with the "new" VW firmware "upgrade" requirement. I am certain that the vehicle will consistently push 28-30MPG if I were to drive a bit more reserved.

Capable, Comfortable, Contrarian

The Touareg is a mid-sized SUV for contrarians who want a vehicle with high towing and off road capability that's also luxurious and don't care about or don't want to be seen driving a luxury badge. Want the same size and capability but mainstream? Get a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Don't care about towing or off road, go with a Ford Edge. Want better treatment from the valet? Buy a Porsche Cayenne. But if you want an incredibly over-engineered two-row SUV that can tow 7,000 pounds, tackle all but the most extreme off road environments, whisk you 500 miles at 75 mph without fatigue and get 29 mpg highway in the process, the Touareg might be your SUV. Two key points: Despite the scandal get a diesel that's had the software fix. It drives the same as before the fix, mileage goes down by 1 mpg but it gets a longer warranty. The diesel has the immense torque to tow and confidently merge onto the highway. Second, be willing to tolerate a somewhat outdated telematics system. It's not terrible, just not equal to the latest tech found in competing vehicles. I've owned a diesel Touareg for three years with 66,000 miles. Would I buy another? Yes.
