2008 Volvo S40 consumer reviews

I went with the Volvo over the BMW 328 due to price. I regret that everyday I have to drive the S40. The styling and quality is enjoyable, but I just can't get comfortable in the drivers seat. I'm 5'9 and 185lbs so average build and I just don't seem to fit in the seat. I have the premium package black on black leather. The seats have minimul support and I constantly feel like I am falling out of the seat everytime I make the slightest turn. I've had mine for 9 months and 12k miles. I've been begging my wife to allow me to take the loss on this thing and go get the BMW. I would recommend the car if you take it on a thorough test drive and are fine with the comfort. It actually took me 2 months before I noticed it and now I can't get it out of my head.

Do not over look this car. Its sharp, Classy, one of the most comfortable seats you will ever sit in. For an All Wheel Drive it gets 22 in heavy city traffic and close to 30 on highway. So easy to park. The upgraded sound system that comes standard in the T5 is better than most and is a breeze to operate once you get it down. When behind the wheel you feel like you a in a secured environment and in a much larger car.

Purchased a 2008 S40, 3 months ago and I have not regretted a moment of ownership. My friends love the look and the ride. The interior is a breath of fresh air. On another note, I have to say that with the increase in gas prices, our new Volvo has exceeded our expectations with respect to mileage. I also own a full size 4 door pickup, and the Volvo has definitely lessened the sting of driving my truck. At this point, I'm pretty sure I have mastered all the bells and whistles, but the whole experience has been a pleasant one. This is definitely an auto maker we will stick with for years to come.

Purchased 2008 S40 with t tec seating Excellent car , good gas mileage and styling and value luxury for money. Everyone wants a ride and states car is awesome in looks, Black on black. t tec seating is nice, comfortable and I believe will wear Vbetter than leather, my only regret is which color car I purchased because they all look good, so does my black car with 17 inch rims with all season tires. First Volvo I have owned, purchased car after renting the car at airport which had to upgrade me to a luxzury vehicle, liked car so much purchased one. Good value for money

I've had my 2008 S40 T5 for a week and it's great, handles very nice and is an attactive ride inside and out. Highly recommend it.

I just took the S40 for a test drive and have the vehicle ordered! The ride is tight and responsive. A lot of FUN!! The scandinavian interior design is a nice break from the typical interiors of most cars today. Bottom line.... I can hardly wait for delivery!
