Best Sedan in Every Way
I bought my 2012 Volvo S60 at the same dealership I have purchased countless Audi's for years. I saw the bright red T6 R-Design in an adjacent showroom off o the Audi display. Seeing the loaded Volvo and dozen or so people circling it, I nearly passed it buy. Once I sat inside, became acquainted with its easy-to-operate features, examined its content and price, I arranged for a test drive in an Electric Silver Metallic model with off-black leather interior. This, too, was the top of the line R-Design model with Platinum trim package. The car was so impressive, I decided against the Audi A7 I loved and took home the even more exciting and far better equipped Passion Red base color All-Wheel-Drive S60 T6 (Turbo 6) R-Design Volvo that grabbed my attention. The highlights of Volvo ownership start with the best customer care center, top notch service, national clubs (I belong to one in the U.S. and another in Canada) promoting safety, green technology, innovative design and comfort. The Audi I nearly bought was striking, too, but a loaded A7 would have set me back roughly $70,000. There are less costly Audi's but I did not feel the kind of passion with any other car than the A7 4-door coupe and the curvaceous S60 sedan. My new Volvo is fast (unbelievably fast!) and secure, has outstanding handling and ride, is super comfortable with orthopedic designed seats that make traveling a sheer joy, even with my bad back. I was unable to stay in a car or any seated position for more than an hour without having to stretch out. There are no limits when it comes to all around comfort and safety with the Volvo, even for me to enter, exist and ride or drive for hours-on-end --bad back or not. There is more than ample room for four full-size adults, possibly five -- no opportunity to experience an additional passenger just yet. Trunk space is generous and there are useful cubbies throughout the vehicle. I strongly urge anyone looking for a luxery sports sedan or even a coupe to check out the 2012 or 2013 S60. My wife's 2010 Audi Q5 is due to be replaced in late July; thus, we are looking into purchasing a second Volvo. For even more room, added safety features and 9" of ground clearance, we are considering a '13 Volvo XC60 crossover type SUV. I hear great things about the XC60 T6 R-Design from fellow Volvo club members, neighbors and a guy at work. The XC60 T6 sounds like a nice alternative or in our case, an additional car with vast behind the seat storage. Until I research the more rugged variant of the AWD S60 T6, the XC60, I cannot say enough good things about my new sedan and security I feel owning it.

Volvo (finally) won me over
Wow, what a fabulous car! BMW 3 series used to be my favorite sports sedan...until I tried the 2012 S60. I've driven all the European and Asian luxury sports sedans (and most of the American ones too). Motor Trend was right when the ranked it higher than every other sedan, except the BMW 3 series. The BMW is a little sportier to drive, but the Volvo wins easily as best overall value and best features. Amazing comfort, the quietest interior on the highway, sporty handling, fast acceleration, incredible safety features that all you to feel more relaxed while driving and great fuel economy (I average 32 mpg with mostly highway driving). Get the tech package (safety features) and stereo upgrade. They're overpriced, but I love them and would buy them again.

Love It
The 2012 S60 is so much better than my junky 2003 S40! I am so happy with this upgrade. Great acceleration, great look, and I love the hypoallergenic seats (I thought I would miss leather, but I don't). To "Disappointed" from DC - Why would you buy a car that you find uncomfortable??

Really sorry I bought it
I really strongly urge those looking at this car to stay away. It looks nice enough on the outside but is incredibly uncomfortable. Not anywhere nearly worth the price.

Turns Heads!
I just love what Volvo is doing with their new designs. My car turns heads and people go "Is that a Volvo?" I love it! There's a great attention to little details that Volvo engineers and designers think about. The comfort is just amazing here, I've sat in many competitor's cars and Volvo by far has the best room. The best thing is the comfort of the steering wheel. Most car companies don't pay too much attention to the most interacted part of a car, yet Volvo made it amazing to hold. So far every ride in my S60 has been a joy. Car feels very stable, solid and fast on the road. It might look like a sedan but when you give it some gas it turns corners in much more aggressive sporty way. I love it because I've been waiting for something like this from Volvo. Their new direction appeals to audience my age, and I am 26. This is no longer "parents car," this is fun, stylish and safest car out there. Great job, Volvo!

I love this car
The main reason I bought a Volvo was for its safety features. As a mom and a doctor, it wanted the safest car I could get. That being said, this car is hoot to drive. It handles great, is extremely responsive, and has great acceleration. And best of all, it has all the benefits to a luxury car without all the pretention.

Beats A4 Hands Down
This is my first Volvo after being a lifelong Audi driver. The marketing got me into the dealership to test drive the S60 and contrary to the past, this Volvo can move! Not only can it accelerate and merge in city traffic better then the A4 I drove, but it gets great gas mileage and has an aggressive look. I'm 28 years old and received a lot of negative PR from friends, family saying Volvo's were for AARP holders...I can confidently say that all of the naysayers have been silenced.

Really like it
I bought a 2012 S-60 T5 to replace my 2004 S-60. I didn't think they could improve on a Volvo that much- WRONG. Car is great. So glad I waitied for the new model to come out. Ride is fantastic and great mileage too- avg 28-29 MPG. Comfort plus. This car might be my last but certainly no regrets.
