2012 Volvo S60 consumer reviews

I drove this car 10+ hours some days to go on long trips and it was perfect! I would buy this car again anywhere I go!

For the year of the model I have which is the base model I have only two niggles. One - the radio interface is mushy. Two - no full spare in the trunk. Other than that it performs well with a five cylinder turbo charged engine mated to a six speed transmission. A fine car.

I have owned Volvos since 1965, and my previous Volvo 850 I had 600K+ trouble free miles on it when I sold it. This S60 is a awesome car, but things break on it and it has cost me a lot more to own. I would buy it again and only wish you could get a manual trans.

Perfect for New England winters and fun for traveling in the summer. Ideal for long commutes. Would recommend for families and for those wanting an SUV

The car was fun to drive and had enough power to make the heavy chassis cover ground quickly. The interior was comfortable and the leather was perfect

The external design is objective, but I admire the clean appearance. Nothing looks excessive or just added in an attempt to look more "aggressive." This car has a lot of pep to it, more than I was expecting. The interior feels cozy with an elegant style. The driver's seat is extremely comfortable, although my criticism would be it feels like I'm dropping down into a bunker when I get in, and I'm pulling myself out of a hole when I get out, due to the center of the seat where you're sitting being considerably lower than the edges of the seat. However, this is just a personal feeling, and I would imagine a lot of other people like it.

This car does not quite meet the driving characteristics of a BMW or even an Audi. However, on the used market these cars are going for little to nothing. The T5 engine is plenty powerful and has been pretty reliable even past 100k miles. It is very smooth over bumps in the road, but simply is not as responsive its German rivals. This isn't a big deal for most drivers though. The interior quality is good, but again may fall short of what you can expect from Audi, for example; only very slightly though. Overall I love Volvo and this car is no exception. It is an awesome value and I expect it will be a great car for years to come.

This was my first car out of high school and it has been a reliable companion over the 4 years of ownership. Like many know Volvos are both safe and practical and this car has met all of my needs. It has both style comfort and an array of safety technology that many newer cars are just getting today. I look forward to many more miles.

Bought used at 94k miles - still runs like it?s fresh out of the factory. Excellent handling, absorbs bumps like they?re nothing. Very comfortable to ride in. Good turn radius, responsive breaking and acceleration. Enough room to take the family if needed, but small enough to be an efficient commuter car. Averaging 23 mpg driving cross of city and highway.

I have owned this car for almost 7 years and have loved every minute of it. It drives smoothly, has great acceleration and is comfy on long car rides.
