2007 Volvo S80 consumer reviews

This car is beyond comfy. She rides well and feels safe. Probably not a selling point, but I feel like I'm riding in a tank, but with great road performance. This car also made me a fan of Volvo because its design aesthetic is clean and forward thinking. People always are shocked to learn my car is 11 years old. I've noticed with other brands, they change the body styles so frequently that a new car can soon look outdated and old. I've gone on to purchase a new Volvo and finding that it will be hard to get rid of my S80 because of my attachment. I'd recommend this to families who seek safety, style and reliability.

Car fit for a queen or king. Heated seats, smooth ride, safety features, sedan, luxurious and collision detection. Auto climate, clean, loaded, and a moonroof.

It is a Volvo, and I have had five. An excellent car to drive. The best highway car to drive. Built for safety, speed, and an all-around FUN car as well.

I bought this car with 28k miles and now it has 72k. The car has been extremely reliable and has never had any mechanical issues since I've owned it. The interior is very comfortable for a 2007 car and the sound system is superb. With the v8 engine, the car can hold its own and is very quick off the line for a 4000lb sedan. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone looking for a "sleeper" sedan that still can be used to drive 4+ hours comfortably.

I've had a mixed experience with this car. I bought it used with around 116k miles so I've certainly had a few issues which is why I give average reliability. The car itself met all the other requirements I had for it though. I have the V8 and it gets decent mileage for being a heavy AWD car (~18 mpg mixed). The acceleration and sound it makes are great. It rides a little rougher than I'd like but I think that falls on the cheap tires the previous owner put on it. The interior is a great place to be as well. The seats are comfortable and are both heated and cooled in the front. I really like the floating center console and the gauge design. The controls are simple and well laid out. Trunk space is good enough for me and I've had no complaints about rear seat room. Overall it's a good car but I wouldn't recommend the V8 to a non car savvy friend.

Best car I have ever owned, by far. I have owned GM, Ford, Hondas and Toyotas. For Volvos, I have owned a 122S, 144, 245, 265 and currently own an ES1800 and the S80. Love Volvos but the S80 flies and with great comfort. Took it to Montreal (from CT) and greatly enjoyed driving it because it is stable and competent on highways.

Bought this car to replace my aging volvo 960 wagon that has close to 300k on the clock. I wanted something spacious, fast, and comfortable for daily commute and travel. I would not change a thing about this car, the v8 sounds awesome, the seats just let you melt into them and the swedish design cannot be beat! hope to drive this one way past 300k as well :).

I've owned this S-80 since 2010 and it still amazes. This car was ahead of its time with adaptive cruise, auto braking and collision avoidance, blind spot monitor, adaptive chassis and more. The AWD and V-8 makes a great pair. Air cooled and heated leather seats makes you feel like you are in your living room easy chair listening to the surround sound.
