2017 Volvo XC90 consumer reviews

This car is rock solid! It has every safety feature there in the book while providing comfort and performance. I thought I'd give up performance when I traded my Volvo V8 XC90 for the new 4 cylinder engine. What a surprise to find the power and zest delivered by the turbo and super charged engine with the 8 speed transmission. I added the Polestar and it was a welcomed addition. I just rented a Cadillac Escalade on a ski trip and couldn't wait to get back to my Volvo.

We previously had XC-60 2012 R design, we didn't think we could be happier, since we had no problems and were extremely satisfied with it, however, the 2017 r design XC-90 has exceeded our expectations, I was concerned going from 6 cylinder to 4, however, this engine is more than acceptable, extra features on 90 are great, and as usual Volvo seats are superior.

We have owned three XC90s now and will continue until I can no longer drive. Styling, performance, comfort, reliability, and features are unsurpassed. My wife is the primary driver (2017 XC90) and safety is a primary concern for me. Volvo has the highest rating in that category.

The purchase process was remarkably easy. The car is wonderful. So comfortable, so easy to drive, a lot of bells and whistles that were a little intimidating (like my first smart phone) but it's a wonderful car. I'm so glad I bought it.

Good value. Like the car for commuting. Good technology. Good drive. First time Volvo purchaser.

This car has met all of my needs. With it's durability, options and sustainability, I see myself owning this car for a very long time.

So far we have been really happy with our XC90 and have been even more impressed when driving at night. The interior running lights give the kids enough light to look at toys and the exterior lights are great for lighting up our dark streets. I feel like the moving headlights have been especially effective on more than one occasion. We have had occasions where a pedestrian was wearing all black jogging on the side of the road. Chances are we would have seen them, but the lights really made it obvious. My only semi negative is that sometimes the apple car play can be slow. Maybe its just our phones so I don't want to hold that against the car.

This car blew away my expectations. If you are looking for a luxurious family car with all the bells and whistles, This is it. If you are looking for a sports utility this is not it.

This vehicle is the most comfortable ride I've owned. Smooth shifting, tons of power for a 4 cylinder vehicle and excellent gas mileage for a passenger vehicle.

I'd been searching for the perfect 7 passenger luxury SUV. I saw this one displayed at the mall and was REALLY excited to test drive it! It looked beautiful and I know Volvos are safe. But, I was disappointed because it didn't have the pick-up I like, and my kids said the seats were NOT comfortable (hard). I couldn't place my foot back under my seat (a tad) rest it,either, while driving. I ended up with an Audi Q7. If you like a car that performs, while doing the job of transporting kids, the XC90 is not for you. Yes, it's safe, but its a vehicle for a grandma, not me...
