Ride quality & heated seats are amazing. Add that to having to go to the pump every 6 weeks. Sports mode really changes up if you’re looking for a little extra power. Only issues is the recalls but chance of having an issue is 1 in a 100000.

I took this Escape PHEV home for ~$30k after federal and state tax credits and X-Plan pricing. Its no sports car, but it has a silky smooth and silent ride. The PHEV functionality is incredible. We've driven almost exclusively on electricity just plugging it in when it happens to be parked. The EV range in our experience has been 40+ miles exceeding the 37 mile EPA range estimate. And if you deplete the charge or need an extra boost of power it runs as a 210hp hybrid. Don't forget the 1,500lb tow rating. This is a fantastic all around family car. Ford really knocked this one out of the park.

I recently purchased a Bronco Sport from Nick at Roesch Ford. I bought the SEL in August 2021. So far, I've logged nearly 5,000 miles, 85% of which was pure electric. The annoying turn-on of the engine isn't the end of the world. In fact, you can still get an estimate of efficiency because one of the menus shows the proportion of miles driven in electric versus gasoline mode. In the city, if the engine turns on, at the first opportunity to stop, I switch to park, hit the shutoff button and restart the car. I have found that in city driving, no heater or air conditioning on and driving in eco mode, I can easily get as much as 52 miles per charge, way above Ford's estimate. This car is amazingly efficient. I love it, especially with gasoline prices going through the roof.

Was comparing used PHEV SUV's with enough rear cargo space for my DJ equipment and enough electric power to run errands without using much gas. With some, the battery space ate up the cargo, in others, the overall size of the vehicle was too truck-like, uncomfortable, and a limited range. The Ford Escape is surprisingly spacious, comfortable, and very good electric range (about 35 miles on full charge). Combined mpg is quite good, even fully loaded on longer trips without the benefit of a recharge. Quite please with service package features as well.

This car has a geat deal going for it. As a PLug-in hybrid it excels in that it can be charged overnight with a standard 120v line. Summer full charge is good for around 40 plus miles. Winter up north, around 30. We don’t commute so we have filled up the gas tank more than three time in about a year. Styling is top-notch our model includes a useful heads-up display. Size isn’t hugh but more than adequate. Very comfortable ride and interior although not super plush inside. Overall it’s great as an affordable EV and that won’t leave you sweating about getting the next charge on the road.
