I got my oil changed at Superior Hyundai yesterday. They did an outstanding job! I was greeted quickly when I pulled into the service drive. They took care of the things I asked for (oil change and tire rotation) in around 35-40 mins. When they called me to let me know my vehicle was ready I was shocked. Then upon return they had washed my vehicle for me. Thank you to the staff at Superior Hyundai, keep up the great work!

The 2008 f150 crewcab is versatile and ready to tow and haul. I also think it's stylish, especially out here in the west. It's also super reliable and can be worked on at home.

After a long day of shopping for vehicles, we stopped in to test drive the new Mazda CX5. After talking to Daniel Cardenas we were able to narrow my selection down to the grand touring. Daniel took the time to show me how to use all the features of my new ride -saving me time and headache reading the manual. A week after the sale he called to ask if I had any questions about any of the new features. By the best customer service experience.

First service visit. Great experience. I was surprised that they kept me information and it went very quick! I am impressed with how well they treat their customers. This was a simple service call but I will go back for all my cars in future based on how well they take care of you.

Alamo Car Center Review
Good Cars and Great Service

Purchased a 2010 Town and Country from Alamo Car Center For my family, and was so pleased with the entire process. Travis and Jeffrey were professional and personable, and we negotiated a nice price. Before finalizing the deal, I took the car to my local mechanic (who by the way had great things to say about the Alamo Car Center) and he checked it out and found some minor things that needed to be done. I took this list to ALAMO and they took care of everything for me (no extra charge). After purchasing the car I noticed that there was a decent size chip on the windshield. I called Patrick and before I could finish telling him he said "no problem, we'll give you a new windshield at no charge." These guys are great!

My next "new truck will be an '04-'08 Ford as well

I'm a born Chevy guy. Always have been. Its just that when I was shipping for my current truck, I tried 5 dodges, 5 chevys and 5 Fords. The Chevys were limp wristed jokes, and the Dodges rattled like shopping carts. Thus, I ended up in an(2006) XLT Lariat, Supercab 4x4. I think that was 2011. Just some disorganized thoughts: 1-its now 2019, and the only thing on the truck that failed for reasons other than extreme abuse and/or neglect just happened. Its this silly little oil filter gasket. Ive got the same fuel pump, alternator, etc. I've blown up the transmission and broken many suspension components, as I have always carried #1,000 lbs of tools with me, and never take them out of my truck. Couple that with the incredibly bad Houston hopscotch motorists(Jam on the brakes.Jam on the gas, repeat) that I've got to drive through daily, and one would think that the truck would've ripped itself apart years ago. But no. I've towed overloaded trailers 2 hours up mountains in Flagstaff, 4, hours down (red hot brakes-I had to remove my brake fluid cap to allow a small amount to boil out), then cross the desert near the four corners in 110° heat as quickly as I could safely tow 10klbs. If150 disc brake return springsve run it for 48 hours strait to use my power inverter during Hf150 disc brake return springsarvey, and the list goes on, and on, and on. I have no reason too suspect that the meet ones have gotten worse, bit since the difference may be having a truck pay for itself once, as opposed to paying for itself like 5 or 6 times, I'm unwilling to take the risk. I wouldn't consider buying a newer or older version as long as this one is available.

Premier Service -- as usual

I was running way behind on my recommended maintenance, but I got regular reminders until I finally got in there. I also needed a state inspection. I decided to wait for them to do the work, so I settled in with a good cup of coffee and a book. I didn't even get to finish a chapter! The regular required maintenance was done, the inspection completed, and the paperwork ready for checkout in just a little over an hour. The dealership allows you to pay the manager instead of going to a cashier...much more convenient. I've purchased three vehicles from Alamo and all were maintained by them. All of them went over 100K-150K, and were still going strong when they were sold.

Original Owner After 10 Years

It’s April 2019 and I’ve owned my 2009 F150 FX4 S/crew 5.4L since factory ordering it back in July 2009. I haven’t regretted buying this truck once in 10 years now, it’s been a good, reliable vehicle that I plan to keep for many years yet. It’s pulled a trailer across North America, it’s been to the Arctic Ocean, and it’s also been my daily driver all these years. Not many issues to report with it, repair wise I’ve replaced the passenger side exhaust manifold and the a/c pump drive clutch and that’s about it. Maintenance wise I changed the spark plugs out after 7 years with no difficulty, kept the oil changed properly since new (Motorcraft oil filters exclusively) and put a new accessory drive belt and brake pads on last year just because I thought it was time. I recently took a 2018 F150 s/crew out for a test drive and decided it didn’t have much to offer over my 2009, there didn’t seem to be any earth shattering differences driving the two around except the one I have now doesn’t have a $70,000 sticker on it so I’m staying with the 2009 for a while yet.

Gunn Honda Review
If I could give Gunn Honda 500 stars...I would...
by RZAPALAC from DealerRater.com

I have bought a lot of cars over the years. I have had a wide range of experiences, ranging from the good (felt good walking out of the dealership), to the bad (a salesperson dropping their pen in disgust at the end of the deal, put his head in his hands, and groan because I did not finance with them), to the ugly (a sales manager shouting at me and refusing to give me a full tank of gas after a completed sale because I got "too good" of a price). I provide these examples to let you know that I have been around and have experienced it all when it comes to car purchases. I have NEVER had a better experience than I did with Gunn Honda. Period. The end of the story...but I think I will still tell you the story. :o) We were needing a vehicle with a bed to handle our daughter's future activities. We looked at a Honda Ridgeline and liked how it fit our needs. Thus, we started the process of contacting dealers and trying to work out a deal. I was having decent luck, but had a few of the dealers trying to play games. I then expanded my search out a bit and found Gunn Honda here on DealerRater. It is a bit of a drive (200 miles), but I read the reviews and thought "what do I have to lose?". I don't mind driving for the right deal. I contacted Luis via email since he was the highest rated salesperson and explained my needs and what I was looking for. He responded back very quickly and we began a great dialogue on the price of the vehicle and my trade-in. We eventually arrived at prices on both that were, in my opinion, very good. Luis walked me through the process of all of the paperwork that was needed and also encouraged me to apply for financing through them. I was a bit hesitant as I was already pre-approved through my credit union, but Luis felt that the dealership could find a better rate. Thus, I took the leap and sent in my application. I also sent everything else in to have the paperwork ready to go the next day. We headed over to San Antonio and Luis was there waiting for us with a smile and an offer of a beverage. He immediately set out to review the paperwork with us and get the ball rolling. I have never felt a better sense of care of the customer than I did with Luis. The dealership was busy that day, but everybody looked to be enjoying themselves and the experience. I know we were! Luis got our trade evaluated and it was exactly the value that he had promised us via email. We then had a short wait before we met with Phil in the financing department. Phil was just as gracious as Luis and reviewed through all of the documents with us. We were thrilled when Phil told us that they were able to secure a rate that was 0.5% better than the already GREAT rate my credit union had offered us. We were glad to hear that! Phil then sewed everything up with us and we were on our way. On our way out to the truck, Damon (Sales Manager) greeted us and thanked us so much for the business. We felt a personal touch throughout the process and Damon brought it home with our final interaction before we departed. We were in and out of the dealership in under 2 hours on a (once again) very busy day. Our road trip home (again, 200 miles) was a delight and made for some great memories as well. As I mentioned earlier, this was THE BEST car buying experience I have ever had, and I have bought a few over the years. Gunn Honda has earned a customer for life, and I am very careful about making a statement like that. They are just that good. Thank you again Luis, Phil, and Damon for the first-class experience! :o)

Ford's Flagship Model
by Orange317 from Savoy, MA

A beautiful truck, mine is a Supercab Lariat model. I have yet to find a vehicle with an interior that I like as much as I do on this truck, it was the reason I searched long and hard for one with this trim. The tan leather, accented by woodgrain and silver trim with chrome accented gages along with the huge comfortable captains chairs and the suprisingly comfortable rear seat on this truck make it truly feel like a flagship model, which it is. There are a few rattles here and there in the interior, nothing extreme. It has all the power bells and whistles including a power moonroof and sliding rear window. The rear window had to be replaced once because it cracked, which was common with the 2010 models from what I hear. 2010 was the first year they offered a defroster equipped rear slider window and the glass would break after heating up and cooling down cycles. No huge deal either, insurance covered it. The ride is a little jiggly unloaded, don't forget it IS a F-150 pickup truck. I do actually use it for hauling now and then, alot of dirt bike transporting, some heavier stuff like flooring, firewood, scrap metal, general homeowner type stuff. It has handled it well. The "man-step" on the rear tailgate is really useful and I love using it. Makes climbing in and out of the bed a breeze. The performance of the 5.4L V8 is solid. I hear its a little down on power to its peers, but the 5.4L has since been updated with more powerful engines. I haven't had any issues with it in almost 100,000 miles knock on wood, so I cant knock it! A slight exhaust leak has developed recently, nothing horrible just that slight "tick"noise under load. I hope it isn't the manifold, but I hear manifold cracks are common with this engine. The transmission seems solid with some occasional hard shifts when cold. That was subject of a Ford service bulletin, there is nothing to remedy it, they just shift a little hard before they are up to normal operating temperature. I did have a small transmission leak because of a bad seal, which is another common issue with this era truck. I enjoy driving the truck, it handles pretty good for a truck, fairly tight turning radius. It is difficult to turn your head and judge the rear of the truck when backing up...thank goodness for the backup camera and proximity sensors...they help alot. Brakes could be a bit more powerful, but not bad as they are. I definitely wouldn't want them as touchy as my Father's 2016 Toyota Tacoma. The only huge issue I have with this truck is a few issues of rust/rot that I believe was premature. We live in an area where there is A LOT, probably an EXCESSIVE amount of corrosive road salt applied to the roads. This caused the rocker panels to absolutely rot to pieces to the point they had to be replaced last year. I was really dissappointed to see this happen at the relitively low age of 7 years old. The rocker panels are of a poor design, allowing salt and water to get trapped up in them and then they rot from the inside out. But I cant rip on Ford vehicles for this, it happens to just about all brands. I've seen Chevy and Dodge trucks from the same area with rust just as bad, even worse in spots. Toyotas have vehicles with their frames recalled because of rot issues. It is a total shame that so many vehicles are ruined because of salt related corrosion. The rust did break my heart a bit on this truck, but looking back on the 7 years I've owned it, its been a damn good vehicle overall. I still think its an absolute stunner exterior and interior looks wise and it still gets the job done when there is a load to haul. And nothing is sweeter then riding up front on big heated leather chairs hauling a load of scrap metal or manure in the bed!!
