I recently purchased a 2023 F-150 Limited PowerBoost from Kendall Ford. The experience had its moments?some good, some not-so-good. On our first visit, our salesperson Josh didn?t seem especially engaged. The test drive was just a quick loop around the block?not nearly enough to evaluate the truck. It felt rushed and unhelpful, and we left without moving forward. When we returned later, Asante let us take the truck out for a real test drive, which gave us the opportunity to actually see what it was all about. That was a much better experience and helped restore some confidence in the process. The deal itself took about a week and a half to finalize. Part of that was due to a family emergency on our end, and the rest was working through loan adjustments with Credit Union 1, plus trying to improve the trade-in deal. We worked with Steve, Kendall?s KBB rep, who was friendly, straightforward, and helped us feel like the trade-in side of the deal was being handled fairly. A few parts of the experience felt off, though. The sales manager acted like holding the truck for a weekend was a big favor?even though it had been sitting on the lot for a long time. Then when we came back to talk numbers, the truck was already parked out front with a SOLD sign on it and had been removed from the website?before we even finalized the deal. It felt more like a tactic than a customer service move. The truck was clean outside, but not clean inside?the cup holders were dirty, the back seat was dusty, and it showed signs of being well-driven. For a Limited trim truck with this kind of price tag, the lack of a proper interior detail stood out. In the end, I got the truck I wanted?but not because the dealership wowed me. It was a lot of self-navigation, follow-ups, and patience on our side. Asante and Steve both stood out as helpful, and I?m glad they were part of the process. Everyone else? Room to improve. I have purchased from this dealership in the past. There was no sales pressure tactics. I was shown what was available or would be available in the near future. No pressure to buy. Salesman, Asante Harris very professional and helpful.

My husband and I had a very positive experience at Kendell Ford in Anchorage. Due to our truck being totaled in a MVA we were anxious to find a reliable replacement. We met with Ian Kingsley who showed us to the used F150s and proceeded to ask questions about our wants/needs, followed by answers about the changes in these trucks since we purchased our 2013 Ecoboost Laredo. We were somewhat interested in the Powerboost hybrids after seeing some at other lots. I had read reviews on the internet written by owners of these hybrids. Ian deftly filled in the blanks between what we knew about the hybrids and what we did not. He compared features between the various models and years and helped us determine what features and year best suited our needs. Then he took us out for a test drive on the Seward Hwy to experience the drive, handling and ride, while he explained the modes for driving styles, weather conditions, economy and power. Ian?s knowledge helped us decide which truck to purchase and after a week of driving it we have found it is well-suited to our needs. We are particularly surprised by the gas mileage and fascinated by our ability to gain miles on a tank of fuel simply by gentle braking. Also, the seats and ride are very comfortable. Finally, Manny Melchor in the Finance Dept was efficient and pleasant to work with. I would recommend this dealer and Ian, specifically.
