I purchased my 2013 Ford Flex from Sunrise Ford 2 1/2 years ago. This was our third car from Sunrise Ford. It only had 16,000 miles on it. Sal was AWESOME. He made sure that we got a good rate and that everything was covered. I love my Flex. Sunrise is the only place I take my car to get serviced.
In Oct of 2017, it started stalling on me. I took the car in 3 times but the diagnostics couldn't find anything wrong, because the car was not registering and the check engine light did not stay on. Lester, my service advisor, and I were both very frustrated. Suddenly the car was fine. Last week, I was taking my husband to a doctor's appointment and the car stalled again. It stalled 13 times on the way home. I took the car into Sunrise Ford first thing the next morning. The engine light stayed on and that was good. Lester came out and took the car in and told me would call me later. When Lester called he told me that "the throttle body had failed and it would be $560 " I was really upset because this was the fourth time that I had taken it in. I told Lester that this wasn't ok. I had taken the car in several times before. I told Lester that I needed to speak to the Service Manager. Lester said let me see what I can work out. Lester went to bat for me with the Service Manager. When I got off the phone with Lester, I just cried. It had been a very stressful several months and we couldn't afford the expense. I then called Sal to see if there was anything he could do. Sal said he would look into it. After I hung up with Sal, the Service Manager, Denne, called me. I was still very upset. Denne told me it wasn't covered. I explained that I had the car in to have it checked out 3 times in Oct & Nov. 2017 for the same things. As we were talking, she was looking at the service record and that I was a longtime customer. Denne said to me, I will charge you a $100 deductible. I was overwhelmed and just cried again. This was so wonderful.
When I went to pick up my car, I just hugged Lester. Denne would have received one too, but she was in a meeting. This was such a blessing to me. I couldn't thank Lester, Denne and Sal enough. I will sing their praise to all. Thank you, Sunrise Ford for employing such compassionate employees.
