Dollar for dollar this is the best car that money can buy. A 3 year old MB Certified car with around 30,000 miles is the way to go. The price will be about 50% of original MSRP so you save about $50,000. I suggest 4 MATIC and AMG trim package. I 've owned other MB's, high end Jaguars, BMW's, Volvo's, VW's and several American cars, new and used. This is the best.

This car should be classified as an “exotic”. The S550 Coupe is by far the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Well, our 2008 S63 AMG was a monster, but very heavy. The ride is harsher than expected over rough roads, but it isn’t close to a deal killer. The interior is perfect, but the controls were clunky at first….until you get used to it.

60,000 miles and 9 years now having some issues. Front differential leak, driver active multi contour seat repair, coolant return hose small leak not major. I’ve test driven a number of other luxury flagships and still find the W-221 S Class to be more comfortable and road worthy. Local independent shop provides excellent service at a significant savings from MB dealership. Still love this car and do not regret purchasing even tho repair and maintenance costs are high!

Amazing vehicle, but only buy new if you want the S63, the Maybach, or your just really rich, if not, then just wait 5 years, and get it for 70 grand! The value is so low because you can just wait for it to depreciate like crazy. But overall, this is an awesome car.

Selden was good as always. This is the third vehicle that I bought from them... and will likely buy more if I can by the grace of God. Don't buy a used vehicle if you don't understand that it is a mechanical piece of equipment that has a tremendous number of moving parts and will have failures. (but really... I've had no issues with the BMWs I've bought from Selden.) Selden has always delivered a top notch, ready to drive vehicle that has been detailed so that it looks new. I think Scott has been in the business for a long time. The first car I bought from him was about 14 years ago when they were in Conshohocken... a 2008 BMW 328xi Sport Wagon. Then (of all things) an i3 REX which I've used as a daily driver for close to 4 years. And now an X5 with an N55b engine. Rich does a stand up job with financing and with getting you into a warranty that will keep your purchase running well. The warranty prices are fair and bring peace of mind on the purchase for only a small increase on the monthly payment. That said - Thank you Scott and Rich for making another purchase experience great! This car is not for the iPad generation but for people who appreciate the Vacuum Tubes HIFI system when listening to music. The initial cost is low (value for money) but it is like buying a yacht. You need to afford ongoing maintenance costs then it rewards you. Your mechanic must realize that his/her most important job servicing S Class is to constantly strive for the lowest possible car noise/sound background. Externally and internally. New tires, new pulleys, new brake pads/rotors, brake pads not touching rotors it all generates sound. When all parts generating sound are taken care of the car is ready for the symphony.

I've clocked in around 40k miles on my S320, and bought it at 110k miles. Overall, its the best car I have ever drove. Aside from regular maintenance and a tune-up at the 130k mark, it's been my pleasure to own. Not only this, but the straight-six engine has plenty of room to work, and mine being a 1995 model it's quite easy to find parts online. While there aren't many aftermarket parts for this model, it's by far been a pleasure owning. I should specify that the one I got was in fact armored, so my suspension is a bit more washy and body roll a bit more of a downside. But I digress, I love this car, and for the price I paid ($7k usd) it's nearly impossible to get something this good, and it has many amenities that even many modern cars dont have. I've never really "loved" a car before this, and wasn't much of a car guy. After owning this majestic boat, I can see why people love cars. It may have low fuel economy and drink premium, but this thing is magical to me and I fell in love. Plus, the mechanicI went to actually told me it's built more like a truck than a car underneath, making many things like the transmission easy to access for servicing. I love this car, and it honestly has a "Timeless look" as Doug DeMuro said in his video. It's a classy car that feels like a rolling couch, and overall is an amazing vehicle if given regular maintenance.

I purchased my 2013 S550 in 2015 with 25,000 on the odometer. It was a CPO Benz. I have 103,500 miles on it. The only complaint I have are the 20 inch rims, I've had 7 cracked rims. Going to replace with 19 inch rims. It is an excellent riding car. Drove from Kingsland, Georgia to Pittsburgh, PA straight through. I was not tired when I arriveded in Pgh. Mileage was awesome, 27+ mpg. I also have a 2013 SL550.

It's a Benz. What more do you need to know? I really love this car. I don't drive a lot, but when I do, much of it is long distance. This is honestly the most comfortable car I've ever owned. I drove 5 hours straight and walked right out of the car feeling relaxed. No need to stretch or anything. Just got out and went about my business. Once you own one, you'll never go to another.
