Used Pontiac Vibe for sale under $7,000 near me

My family has been buying cars from Mt. Pleasant Auto Sales for years. I recently bought another vehicle from John and couldn’t be happier. Most used car salesmen are slimy and only out for themselves, but he made sure I got a great deal on a great car. I really can’t say enough good about my experience.

I purchased this car in December of 2008 from the dealership. Besides a water pump and brakes, I have replaced nothing else besides regular maintenance. This car, when purchased, was the best priced car, with all the safety features one would require, that could also be used to carry significant cargo. At the time, a comparable Matrix model would have cost $6,000 more than what I paid. Since, it has currently driven only 160,000 kms at this time, I should have many years of dependable service ahead of me. The bones, spine and muscles of this car is a Toyota Corolla, which is why it's the most dependable. The engine is not a power horse, but the 1.8 liter is the extremely dependable Toyota engine that is rated to outpace most engines in its class. This is a very dependable, affordable car that has never failed to impress me since day one!

I've owned my Vibe for 2 1/2 years when I bought it with 60k miles. Changed the transmission fluid at 60k, which is the recommended interval. Transmission "clunks" when downshifting to 2nd, but still up and down shifts perfectly fine. Shifts so smoothly, sometimes the only way to tell it shifted is to look at the tach. Ride is average, little stiff sometimes. It just refuses to break down if you do the regular maintenance. If you're a gentle driver, the standard 1.8 engine will be just fine for you, stay away from the 2.4 from 2004 to 2009, as they were well known to be oil burners. Little trick - when starting, just flick the key, release, and the starter will automatically release when the engine fires up. If you use the remote to unlock the car, and you don't open a door within 30 seconds, it will automatically re-lock.

Moe and Sam were great, friendly, honest and stayed after hours in order to meet with me. I had been looking for a vehicle for months in and around where I live (Pittsburgh, PA). After speaking to them about a car they had listed for sale, they stayed late. I drove a hour and a half to meet them. Drove the car, loved it. They held the car for me and I came back up to New Castle the following weekend and purchased the vehicle. They are also did my plates, title and registration all in one visit. They DO NOT charge any dealers fees to purchase from them which is a rare find and a pleasure to learn. I drove my relatives Pontic Vibe while my 2002 Honda Accords transmission was being worked on. Now my transmission in the Honda refuses to work on the highway. So I am buying my relatives Pontiac Vibe. I need something reliable to drive from Longview TX to Fort Worth TX many times. I have to park my 2002 Honda Accord from now on. The Poniac Vibe has plenty of get up and go. I drove it to Fort Worth a week ago and I'm happy with its performance. It does use more fuel than my Honda Accord though. The Pontiacs engine bay is real clean. The Pontiac handled the rough I 20 very well. I have the check written out and ready to purchase my first Pontiac. Good by to my Honda. I have heard mechanics call the auto. Trans. On the 2002 Honda Accord GLASS . Because they break so easily. My sister said they have driven the Vibe to Arkansas many times and it still performs well. The AC and the heater works well in the Vibe also. The cruise control works very well too. I'm hoping to find an owners manual on e-bay. I have no idea what year model the Vibe is yet. But I do know it has 16 valves. Somebody has put tinting on the back window over the rear defroster, so I'm not bothering it. The paint job has seen its better days. I'm planning on repainting the Vibe, but I will continue with the Maroon color. This isn't a Firebird, but it will do.

I have been searching for a few months for a car. This is my first car purchase and it was a very simple and easy transaction. The two people running the lot/shop are very nice and honest people who seem to actually take care of the cars they get. They also have a carfax for every vehicle on their website. Also with cars not on the site but you'd have to visit the lot. They helped me with everything I needed and I would defiantly purchase another car from them! Highly recommend!!

I have had my vibe for 5 years. Not a single mechanical issue yet! Gets decent gas mileage and there is lots of room. With the seats folded down I able to fit larger items. Everyone I know that has a vibe has over 300,xxx miles on it. These cars were made to run a long time!

You can't beat these guys. Great cars at great prices. VERY friendly service. The easiest, quickest, and best car buying experience I've ever had. No pressure sales. Bobby and Andy were great to deal with. Bought a beautiful, spotless Hyundai Elantra Touring Wagon at a great price. They even put new rear shocks on it, at no cost to me....who does that these days ? No hidden fees, just sales tax and DMV fees. Agreed to buy it on a Saturday afternoon and they had it all prepped with plates and registration, fully inspected and serviced by early afternoon on Monday. (GT) Good news is great value for the money. Basically a Corolla wagon with modded engine at a discount because the brandname has been disappeared. Bad news is that the GM emission parts are hard to find and expensive. Either non-compatible parts too. And the one-size-fits-all emission controls do NOT give the same power band as the 2003.

This is a Toyota Matrix in a GM body. Came from a rare joint partnership. Family car for for almost 15-years. Almost 200k miles in Minnesota winters and it's never had needs beyond typical maintenance - tires, brakes, etc. Great car. Would recommend to anyone!

Nice folks to deal with, bought a clean used 2008 Chevy Avalanche with 120k for a fair price (Jeff was my salesman). Truck had some minor issues, a missing back up sensor, and a loose plastic panel on the tailgate. They fixed them both asap, and I bought the truck. A good deal all around, I would buy from them again. If you understand the used market, I'm sure you'll find a great deal there on a vehicle.

Good reliable car with easy step in height. Toyota engine and transmission with low cost parts availability. GT version has the 2.4 158hp engine that makes it really quick. Performance tires on GT version can be noisy on certain roads.

The test drive experience was hassle-free; I was able to take the car by myself without any salespeople with me. I was able to take the car to a mechanic of my choice for a pre-purchase inspection. I was not able to haggle as much as I would like but did get a couple hundred off the listed price. Smaller dealership but quality experience.

The Vibe is great transportation. It is very reliable and gets around in all weather. We have driven our vibe on many trips, and it just hums along. It's a great choice for a small family oor a couple. Good for hauling groceries!

I've driven a large range of vehicles, from the cheapest commuter you can buy new, to fully loaded Town Cars and Chrysler 300's and everything in between. To get straight to it: It gets the job done, and won't break while doing it. It gets decent mileage, it's a Toyota so you know it's going to outlive you, and there's lots of space so how can you go wrong? To be 100% clear, it's not very comfortable and there's no sound insulation at all, and it makes no power which means getting anywhere at a brisk pace means your foot is occasionally to the floor during regular driving. I don't see these as issues, this is part of the fun, overall I have a lot of fun in it and I don't worry about it's reliability at all. I also recommend sampling the symphony that is allowing your muffler to rust off, and giving it some redline as a treat. She's a racecar.

I bought a 08 Honda Accord in 2018, I still drive the car. I bought it with 79k miles and now have 203k on it. Nothing bad has ever happened with it. Except normal wear and tear. One rule about buying used cars, either know what you’re looking for, or have someone else check it out.

We found mine sitting in the back of an auto repair shop. All we had to do to get it to start was swap in a new battery, then it ran and drove like we drove it there ten minutes earlier. Mine does not have ABS, traction control, or cruise control, but those are just minor inconveniences. After we changed the tires, brakes, filters and fluids, it drove like a dream. For a mid-2000's hatchback, it is peppy for the 126hp it has. Little body roll when cornering, excellent throttle and brake response, and the steering is tight and responsive. Even just having the 4-speed automatic transmission is fun, although I'd prefer the 5-speed stickshift. Roomy interior, while being a nice compact car at the same time. Doesn't take up much space in a driveway, and if you have the right color(Wave blue, salsa red), it'll stand out in a crowd. All in all, great little car.

We negotiated price and got financing approved before I even went to the dealer. I live on the East coast of Florida. On the selected day, I drove over to Naples (154 miles). The vehicle had been serviced and detailed. Looked like a new vehicle (2016 Mazda CX-5 Sport manual 6 speed). It was certified by the dealer. Eric was thorough and kept me informed every step of the process. A true professional. I have no complaints and know he would assist again if the need arises.

A year later (nearly), the odometer sits at about 313,000 kms. I've had a no-start issue in that year, which was caused by a grounded wire that wasn't supposed to be. It was a bit of a tough find for the tech to pin-point but easy enough to fix. The Vibe has the exact same power plant as a corolla. So, essentially it's a Toyota, rebadged. (you'll notice the Toyota style steering wheel.) The 1.8l is a far cry from any 5L, let's say, but for what it is it does just fine! Wish I had the AWD and manual trans, but i'll settle. It'll definitely take a thrashing. Just keep your oil level topped, preventative maintenance up to parr and you should be able to get beyond 350 kms with the Toyota 1.8L. Canadian winters demand studded winter tires, and with such, you'll have trouble getting stuck!
